An international flight from Dubai to Amsterdam had to make an emergency landing last week on a Transavia Airlines flight after a fight broke out due to a passenger's flatulence, according to the Dutch De Telegraph.According to the report, two sisters complained about a man passing gas on board of the flight. When the Transavia Airlines crew failed to do anything about the flatulence, that is when the passengers allegedly got physical. Nora Lachhab, 25, and her sister, were forced off the plane by police in Vienna for allegedly getting physical with other passengers. Lachhab told De Telegraph that the allegations are untrue. "The strange thing is that we also had to leave the aircraft. While we did not know these guys at all. We happened to be in the same row, but did not do anything to justify the bizarre behavior of the Transavia crew,"Lachhab told De Telegraaf.According to De Telegraaf, four passengers, including those accused of passing gas, were barred from flying on Transavia Airlines. "That is unacceptable. Our crew must ensure a safe flight," an airline spokesperson told De Telegraaf. "When passengers pose risks, they immediately intervene. Our people are trained for that. They know very well where the boundaries are. Transavia is therefore square behind the cabin crew and the pilots."An unidentified passenger told De Telegraaf that Transavia Airlines' response was an over reaction. 1541

You have to put it in your nose and rub it around both nares. You have to put it in, swirl it around 15 times. You have to let it sit there for 30 seconds. You have to know which button to read. There's lots of things that can go wrong and so if the test is misunderstood and you don't have a professional looking over your shoulder, it could result in some unfortunate things," says Dr. Stuart Ray, a professor at Johns Hopkins University and infectious disease expert.Dr. Ray hopes people will use the test correctly so that it really does help prevent COVID-19 transmission in the community."What if they use that to decide that they're now negative after exposure so therefore it's safe to go out before their isolation or quarantine ends. And the problem is, they're still in the incubation period so the test is negative but in fact they’re infected," says Dr. Ray.Dr. Ray says it will take time to understand how the test works, but it's exciting to have a new tool for the general public to use. 2340

ANAHEIM (CNS) - Disney officials informed Anaheim Wednesday that they have canceled plans for a 700-room luxury hotel at Disneyland Resort in light of the city's decision to scrub tax-incentive deals for the project.The Anaheim City Council voted Aug. 28 to cancel the tax-incentive deals because the project had changed over time, including a new location. An emergency bill in California will continue the state's moratorium on evictions for nonpayment, but evictions could resume in February.The deal, reached Friday, will avoid what some had dubbed the eviction cliff that was set to begin Sept. 1. That was when the Judicial Council's order stopping courthouses from taking nonpayment eviction cases was going to expire. This bill, called the COVID-19 Tenant Relief Act of 2020, does two major things to protect tenants:1) It converts unpaid rent from March 1 to Aug. 31 to civil debt, meaning a tenant cannot be evicted for nonpayment. Instead, that person can ultimately be taken to small claims court. 2) It prevents eviction of tenants who pay at least 25 percent of their rent from Sept. 1. to Jan 31, 2021. If a tenant pays at least 25 percent, the rest would be converted to civil debt. Otherwise, a landlord can begin eviction proceedings Feb. 1, 2021. Gov. Newsom announced the deal Friday, saying he would sign the bill once it reaches his desk. The Southern California Rental Housing Association expressed major concerns about the legislation, saying it does not protect against financial ruin for landlords. In a statement, it said the bill doesn't provide rental income assistance, and does not guarantee landlords will ever get the money they are owed.The bill requires a two-thirds vote, and is expected to be taken up in both houses of the state legislature Monday. 1437
