Investigators pulled bags from a Dumpster and found a ripped-up ledger, credit card receipts and napkins wet with semen, the affidavit said.Police staked out the business, watching man after man enter the spa and leave after 30 minutes or an hour, the affidavit said. Some are working 10 hours a day, that's across the country," said Marc Schneider, National Air Traffic Controllers Association president. "We are at a 30 year low in staffing for air traffic controllers nationwide. The school in Oklahoma City is shut down."According to Schneider, controllers were recently trained on new technology that allows them to text message pilots in the cockpit. This was supposed to roll out Friday and now isn't happening because of the shutdown.If it is not implemented by January 15, all the controllers will have to be retrained — at a high cost. "It's a stressful job to begin with. These are people's lives we are dealing with," Schneider said. "Everyone just got done paying for Christmas and now there is no money coming in. Those are things we have to worry about."Also at the airport, folks who work for the Transportation Security Administration are on the job, and not getting paid. They are represented by the American Federation of Government Employees, who handle 30,000 workers in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. Kroger is tapping Microsoft to help create grocery stores of the future, and keep up with Amazon and Walmart.The two companies announced a partnership on Monday that will bring digital shelves, price tags, and advertisements to two pilot stores in Ohio and Washington State, near each company's headquarters.The stores are designed to make it easier for customers and workers to navigate the stores, saving shoppers time and Kroger money.Kroger has been partnering with companies such as Nuro, Ocado, and Walgreens as it aims to speed up grocery delivery and pickup, and experiment with digital tools to support its network of physical stores.The grocery chain is trying to give shoppers — who are increasingly browsing and buying everything from consumer electronics to breakfast cereal online — more reasons to visit physical stores.Under the latest partnership, customers first build a shopping list using Kroger's Scan, Bag, Go self-checkout app.Then, the app works with cloud-based software and sensors in the store to guide them around as they check off items on their list.
