A wide array of House and Senate Republicans are not yet ready to endorse President Donald Trump's bid for a second term, a reflection of the deep uncertainty on Capitol Hill over his political standing amid growing problems at home and abroad.In interviews with a cross-section of more than two dozen GOP lawmakers, ranging from rank-and-file members, conservatives and party leaders, many refused to say they'd back Trump's re-election bid -- a surprise declaration given that members of Congress are typically quick to endorse sitting presidents of their own party without hesitation. Hardly any would offer a categorical endorsement of the President."I don't know what the world is going to look like," said Senate Majority Whip John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, when asked if he'd endorse Trump for re-election. Unlike past presidents who have waited to announce their reelection bids, Trump made clear immediately after taking office that he's running again.Still, many Republicans aren't certain he'll do it."That's a little loaded," said Rep. Bill Huizenga of Michigan when asked if he'd support Trump for re-election. "One: we need to make sure that he's actually moving forward and wants to go after this -- so when he makes a declaration, then I think that would be a time to determine whether there are others (who) run or not."The comments highlight the continuing uneasiness many Republicans have over Trump's presidency, and the lingering questions about how the multiple legal battles the President is facing -- from the allegations of hush money to silence an alleged affair with the porn actress Stormy Daniels, the raid of his personal attorney Michael Cohen's properties and special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation -- will eventually shake out. And they also contradict Trump's oft-stated contention that the party has "never" been more united.White House officials did not provide a comment for this story. ALPINE (CNS) - A ceremony will be held at the Alpine Community Center Saturday to induct 20 honorees on the Alpine Veterans Wall of Fame.The ceremony will feature a performance by local color guards and an appearance by the Patriot Guard Riders in addition to tributes to current members of the wall. Adidas has voluntarily recalled kids’ swimwear products of the Infinitex 3-Stripe range due to the stripes coming off and them possibly leading to injuries.According to the company, they have received customer reports that the three stripes on the swimwear might come off unexpectedly when in contact with water, which pose a potential safety risk to children as the stripes might get caught on objects or other children outside or inside the water and become entangled, potentially leading to injuries. A woman who was seen slapping a police officer as she was carried out of a University of Miami football game has been charged with felony battery on a police officer and misdemeanor disorderly conduct, the Associated Press reported. According to Local 10, Miami-Dade Metro Police received the video shortly after Saturday's incident, and was in the process of investigating. In the video, Bridget Freitas, who was dressed in a Miami Hurricanes shirt, was being carried away by several police officers. She than slapped one of the officers in the face. The officer then responded by delivering a huge punch to the woman's face, to the surprise of the crowd. Video of the incident quickly spread Saturday night on social media.   770
