SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are asking the public for help identifying the person they believe stabbed a man to death in Pacific Beach last week.Police say the suspect was engaged in a fight with a 55-year-old man outside the 7-Eleven store at 4340 Mission Boulevard, when he stabbed the victim several times. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect fled the scene.Surveillance footage of the suspect was released this week. The suspect is described as a 20- to 30-year-old black male, about 5'8" to 5'10" tall, and was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and a black hat at the time of the stabbing. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego City Council Tuesday night unanimously passed the location of a high-pressure underground pipeline to move sewage from San Diego's Morena treatment plant to a facility in Miramar. The City Council proposed constructing the pipe under a hilly route beneath some of the busiest intersections in Clairemont and University City.City Councilmember David Alvarez issued the following statement after the vote: 455

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diegans will soon have four new restaurants for dining along the San Diego Bay, as Mayor Kevin Faulconer joined Port of San Diego officials and The Brigantine Inc. for the ribbon cutting ceremony Monday for Portside Pier. Portside Pier is an over-the-water dining complex that has been years in the making. It will have four restaurants -- Brigantine on the Bay, Miguel's Cocina, Ketch Grill & Taps and Portside Coffee & Gelato. The dining complex replaced Anthony's Fish Grotto, a staple for 52 years along the bay. The dining complex is now owned by The Brigantine Inc. The restaurants are opening amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The design of the restaurants have plenty of outdoor space to seat about 500 people, with all social distancing guidelines in place. The complex has capacity for about 1,000 people, once pandemic restrictions are lifted. Portside Pier is the first of several projects along the waterfront, to improve and update the embarcadero. The coffee and gelato bar are already open. The other restaurants officially open on July 28. 1090

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego County has served Pacers Showgirls International with a cease and desist order in violation of health orders days after San Diego Padres outfielder Tommy Pham was stabbed outside the strip club.The county's letter says the Midway District strip club was allowing "live entertainment," like exotic dancing, "in violation of the Order of the State Health Officer and County Order of the Health Officer and Emergency Regulations."Under the county's current tier for California's pandemic guidance, San Diego County restaurants are allowed to operate outdoor in-person dining and indoor in-person dining at 25% capacity, but live entertainment is not allowed.The county's letter says if the strip club doesn't suspend its entertainment, it can receive a misdemeanor citation and ,000 fine for each violation. The facility could be ordered to close as well.The order says the violations were reported after Pham was stabbed in the parking lot outside the strip club on Sunday night.San Diego Police said Pham was involved in an altercation. He is expected to make a full recovery.Pham said the experience was, "very traumatic and eye-opening experience for me, I’m on the road to recovery and I know I’ll be back to my offseason training routine in no time."Anyone with information on the stabbing is asked to call SDPD at 619-692-4800. 1370
