SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police have arrested a suspect accused of shooting and killed a man outside a Clairemont home in January. Jeffery Alan Turner, 36, has been charged with murder after he reportedly shot and killed 52-year-old Frank Magana.Police were called to the home, located on the 4600 block of Sauk Avenue, on January 3 after receiving reports of a shooting.RELATED: Man shot in head outside Clairemont home dies?When police arrived they found Magana lying on the ground in front of his home with a gunshot wound to the head.A woman who lives near the home where the shooting took place said, "I looked at the clock because I heard a gunshot. It was one single gunshot, I knew it wasn't a firework. It was scary. It made the hair on the back of my next stand up."Magana was taken to the hospital where he later died. 837

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Police released a sketch Thursday depicting the suspect of a sexual assault at Black's Beach near La Jolla Shores this week.San Diego Police say the female victim was jogging on the beach Wednesday when she was sexually assaulted. The suspect slapped the woman's buttocks twice and grabbed her in the genital area before she broke free and called for help.Officers responded by did not find the man. The suspect is described as a Black man between 30 and 40 years old, with short to no hair and an earring in one ear. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- One of San Diego's most famous malls is poised for a multi-million dollar renovation. On Wednesday, Fashion Valley will announce a project to add what it describes as inviting public spaces, enriched landscaping, broader dining and gathering places, tranquil outdoor lounges and water features, and increased personal shopping and valet services. It's the mall's biggest project since it added a second story in the mid-1990s. Vicki Hanor, a senior vice president with Simon Malls, said in a statement Fashion Valley is home to more than 50 retailers exclusive to San Diego, and prides itself on providing the ultimate shopping and dining experience. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - More than 100 homeless people will soon have a warm place to sleep at night. Thursday morning, the fourth bridge shelter opened its doors in East Village. Each shelter focuses on a different group of the homeless population. The new shelter, located on 17th St and Imperial Ave., is specific to high-risk people including the disabled, elderly, or those with medical conditions. “I can’t tell you in words, but it feels so good to get off this concrete,” says David Tharp, who has been living on the streets for the past three years. Our stuff is not going to be stolen. No one is going to attack us in the middle of the night.” There will be a total of 128 beds offered at the shelter. Nearly 20 agencies will be on-site at times providing services to fit individual needs. The city has now opened four shelters in the last two years, following the large Hepatitis A outbreak, bringing nearly 800 homeless people off the streets.
