JCPenney announced in a blog post that it would be closing more stores after it already closed up to 200 since filing for bankruptcy in May."Following a comprehensive review of the JCPenney retail footprint, we announced several phases of store closures in 2020, part of our store optimization strategy that began in June and included plans to close up to 200 stores throughout our financial restructuring," the company announced in a blog post.According to USA Today, the company will close an additional 15 stores by the end of March."While store closure decisions are never easy, our store optimization strategy is intended to better position JCPenney to drive sustainable, profitable growth," the company said.JCPenney says they will continue to operate their flagship store and its online store to "ensure our valued customers continue to have access to the products and brands they need and want."Mall owners Simon Property Group and Brookfield Property Partners acquired the department store chain in September.For a complete list of all the stores closing, click here. 1084

It was right in front of me. I actually saw the two people that were killed," said Sharon.The victims were identified as 22-year-old Eli Clayton and 27-year-old Taylor Robertson.“I worked my way outside and saw the young man, Taylor Robertson, and he was lying there face down, and we rolled him over to see if he was still alive. I think I witnessed him breathing his last breath," said Sharon.Sharon has been a part of the gaming community for years and heartbroken by the tragedy.“They're kids. They're kids having fun, kids doing what they love to do. They're parents having fun, they're you, they're me, they're everybody. It’s just kids playing a game, nothing more than that,” said Sharon.He has a message for those who lost their loved ones while they were supposed to be just having fun.“They didn't die alone. They died with a brotherhood. They died doing something they love to do, and their memory doesn't die. We're going through this every couple of months. Let's not go through this anymore,” said Sharon.He said he doesn't have all the answers, but says we need to do better to really listen to one another.  1641

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Emergency crews met a Frontier Airlines plane on the runway Tuesday afternoon at KCI after the plane’s pilots reported landing gear problems.The pilots of Frontier Airlines Flight 821 from Philadelphia to Kansas City were on approach to KCI around 5:15 p.m. when they radioed into air traffic controllers about a landing gear problem. The plane did a flyby of the airport before circling back and making another try.Just before 6 p.m., the plane landed without incident at KCI.Emergency crews quickly evaluated the plane on the runway before the plane proceeded to the terminal.The plane was an Airbus A321. 639

(KGTV) -- Audio captured inside a video game tournament in Jacksonville, Florida reveals the moments a mass shooting took place. Throughout what was a live stream, shots can be heard ringing out inside the facility where the event, known as the Madden 19 Tournament, was taking place. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office confirmed Sunday afternoon that several people are dead, including one shooter.
