-- a tumor that can block blood flow to a child's heart. Michael's tumor is 5 centimeters, or about 2 inches, wide. That's enormous compared to a baby's tiny heart, which is about the size of their fist.Doctors told the family Michael's condition is so rare that no surgeon in the United Kingdom would have the expertise to remove his tumor.Emma said the family was given two options: either wait in line for a heart transplant or find a surgeon outside the country. That's when they found out about Boston Children's Hospital, a US facility whose 548

after the Trump administration imposed tariffs on Chinese goods. For Mark Ulness and his family from Manitowoc County, Wisconsin, it's the one time of year their hard work in the barn gets recognized by the masses. Some dairy farmers said being at the Wisconsin State Fair is a getaway from the everyday issues their industry is facing."We make sure (the cows are) fed before we eat a lot of times," Ulness said.As a fifth-generation dairy farmer, Ulness has seen the ups and downs of the industry, but nothing quite like the challenges of the last five years."As a family farmer, it's tough to see friends and neighbors go out, but we understand the struggles that they're going through," he said.Ulness said those struggles started when dairy prices plummeted in 2014 due to a milk surplus. Tariff implications over the last few years have only made the industry's outlook grimmer.According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Wisconsin lost 700 dairy farmers last year. It is the topic at the center of many political debates."Some of the farmers are really doing well," President Donald Trump told a crowd in Milwaukee a few weeks ago. "We're over the hump, we're doing really well, and in the meantime our government has billions of dollars pouring in and that money is paid for by China.""The farm foreclosure capital of the United States is, unfortunately, America's dairyland, Wisconsin," said Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez.Heather Larson of Darlington, Wisconsin knows of fellow dairy farmers dealing with more than money issues."He had two friends already this year commit suicide because of dairy farming," Larson said.Ulness is thankful his farm is still afloat, but it's come with sacrifices."My wife has a job off the farm, and a lot of times she'd prefer just to be at the farm working," he said. This story was originally published by Ben Jordan on 1883

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (AP) — A hiker in Yosemite National Park fell to her death while climbing to the top of the iconic granite cliffs of Half Dome, where cables are installed each summer.Park spokesman Scott Gediman says 29-year-old Danielle Burnett, of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, was scaling the steepest part of the trail Thursday when she fell more than 500 feet (150 meters) down the rocky terrain.Gediman says Burnett was dead when Park Rangers arrived on the scene.Rangers install the cables to assist the climbs of thousands of hikers who make the popular 14-mile (22-kilometer) round trip to the top of the 8,800-foot (2,670-meter) rock face.Gediman says the incident remains under investigation. 723

Wu-Tang Clan founder The RZA and Good Humor Ice Cream teamed up for a new sound for ice cream trucks. They wanted to replace the most common jingle used in ice cream trucks, which derived from a racist past. The iconic song most children remember is a song called "Turkey in the Straw." It was made popular by its use in minstrel shows. In an Instagram video, RZA explains how Good Humor Ice Cream called him, saying "we gotta do something about this, Riz." RZA says they wanted to make a new jingle that incorporated all communities.Good Humor is calling on all ice cream truck drivers nationwide to stop playing "Turkey in the Straw" and are offering RZA's new jingle for free. 687
