SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Harbor Police have cited a charter company for violating the county's health order. A sergeant for Harbor PD confirmed with 10News that Flagship Cruises and Events was cited for being in violation. The county health order states that recreational boating is allowed provided all occupants of a boat are from the same household.10News cameras were rolling as people walked onto the Flagship Cruises and Events dock and onto the company's Spirit of San Diego, capturing the boat's departure and arrival back into the bay. It is unclear if those boarding were all members of one family. 10News reached out to the company and a spokesperson sent us a picture of the county health order saying "We are stating we are part of section 14E, not C. That section states in part, "other public or private outdoor recreational facilities (other than community pools per State order), including recreational equipment (such as bicycle, boat, kayak, equestrian and surfboard) rentals may be open for limited use."Flagship's website states, "We are Open" and has several sections outlining how they are operating during the pandemic. One section states that masks are required for passengers and everyone must respect six-feet social distancing guidelines. The website also states that all employees will be in masks, gloves and screen upon arrival. Also adding that the company is limiting the number of passengers per cruise to allow for maximum distancing and that they've invested in new machinery to sanitize all chairs between cruises. Harbor Police says the citation for violating the county health order has a maximum fine of a thousand dollars and up to a year in jail. 1702

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diego Police are investigating the death of a man they say appeared to have been in an altercation right before his death.SDPD officers responded to a medical distress call just after 2 p.m. Tuesday inside a home at 6600 Springfield Street in Encanto. When police arrived, San Diego Fire-Rescue crews were already there performing CPR on a man.Police say the man was eventually pronounced dead at the scene.Homicide detectives arrived and began investigating. Wednesday, police said investigators learned that the man was involved in a physical altercation and injured before his death. They add that the man had difficulty breathing and collapsed.The 45-year-old man, identified Thursday as Antoine Deonte Dorsey, was a resident of the home and has been identified, but his name is being withheld at this time, police say.Police are now trying to locate witnesses of the altercation. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County has seen two flu deaths and more than twice the unusual number of illnesses so far this season, health officials reported Wednesday. County Health and Human Services officials said the number of confirmed flu cases is more than double the past three-year average, putting this year on par with the severe 2017-2018 flu season. Seventy-seven San Diego County residents died of flu complications last season. Almost 10,000 became ill. More than 235 cases of flu were confirmed by Sept. 28, compared to 67 at this time last flu season. “People should get vaccinated now to avoid getting sick and infecting others,” said Wilma Wooten, M.D., M.P.H., County public health officer. “The vaccine is safe and effective and is available throughout the region.” The flu shot is recommended for everyone over six months old. It takes about two weeks for immunity to develop, according to health officials. Anyone who needs the vaccine and does not have health insurance can go to a County public health center. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego Police are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect wanted for shooting and killing a 27-year-old woman.Police say Robert Reed reportedly shot Sylvianita Widman during an apparent road-rage incident on the 100 block of Meadowbrook Drive at 5:30 p.m. Monday.According to police, two cars were traveling north down Meadowbrook when they both stopped and the passengers got into an argument.RELATED: Woman dies after being shot in a Skyline intersectionWidman then reportedly approached Reed while he was in his car.
