Apple announced on Friday that it is planning to temporarily close several of its locations in four states as the number of coronavirus cases in some US states are surging.Apple said that two stores in Florida, two in North Carolina, one in South Carolina and six in Arizona will be closed until further notice. AMPA, Fla. — Tampa police have charged a mother with first-degree murder after police say she drowned her daughter in the Hillsborough River, killing her.Shakayla Denson, 26, has been arrested and charged with first-degree felony murder and aggravated child abuse in the death of 4-year-old Je'Hyrah Daniels. She also faces a charge of grand theft auto.Denson made a first appearance in court on Friday morning.  A judge set no bond on the charges of murder and child abuse.Tampa Police officers responded around 4:06 p.m. local time Thursday after receiving reports of a woman who drowned a child in the river just north of the Columbus Drive bridge. The dive team also responded to the scene where they pulled Je'Hyrah from the water around 4:30 p.m. She was discovered approximately 75 feet from the shore. Emergency services rushed her to St. Joseph's Hospital where she was pronounced dead.  Police say Denson was located walking nearby when they took her into custody. Investigators say Denson had just stolen a car - a grey Nissan Altima - from a nearby auto repair shop. She parked the car on Rome Avenue just north of Aileen Street. Witness AccountsAccording to an arrest affidavit released Friday morning, two witnesses said Denson "forcefully pushed Je'Hyrah into the back seat of the Nissan Altima." One of the witnesses attempted to stop Denson from leaving but was struck by the Altima as she left. Two other witnesses told police they saw Denson near Aileen St W and Rome Avenue N where she "forcefully removed Je'Hyrah from the back seat of the Altima by the arm." They said as Denson pulled Je'Hyrah she was "screaming loudly and not cooperating." Denson then went into the Hillsborough River while holding both of Je'Hyrah's arm until the water reached her shoulders.Vicki Walker lives on the 3rd floor of the Dockside Condos in Tampa, directly facing where police say Je'Hyrah was drowned.She told said that she never saw the child, but spotted a woman walking out of water not long before police arrived.“Which was very odd, I’ve lived here for years, I’ve never seen anybody in the river," she said.Walker took a photo of the woman in the river.Walker says that the woman was by herself and that she watched her walk out of the river onto the bank, where she says the woman sat for a while.“There’s a part of me that’s like ‘oh my gosh, why didn’t I run over there? Why didn’t I talk to this person? (AP) — Fed up with dog poop being left around, board members at a Maryland condominium complex are now relying on DNA samples to police unscooped feces.Jeanne Fisher, the general manager for The Residence at Park Place Condominium, tells The Capital newspaper that she came across "doggie DNA" as an option when residents began complaining about unscooped poop.The Annapolis complex had tried emails, dog meetings, fines and a security camera in the dog park.The condo association spent about ,500 on pet DNA kits and about 20 owners began providing samples. An employee of a Virginia Publix grocery store who is deaf and lacks peripheral vision claimed she was assaulted by a customer after the employee said she could not hear the woman, WRIC-TV reported. Liberty Gratz was reportedly stocking a shelf when a woman trying to get Gratz's attention punched her from behind. The punch got Gratz's attention, and Gratz was able to point the woman in the right direction, but the incident left Gratz stunned. "She doesn't have that peripheral vision, so she's really focused on her work," Gratz's mom Jeanette Gratx told WRIC. "She doesn't always notice the people beside her."Liberty Gratz later had store management review video footage, but managers were unable to make out the woman. "She could still feel it when I picked her up from work," Jeanette Gratz told WRIC.
