A manhunt is underway for a University of Connecticut senior suspected of killing two men last Friday. Law enforcement agencies in multiple states are searching for the suspect, 23-year-old Peter Manfredonia.Manfredonia is accused of killing 62-year-old Ted DeMers and 23-year-old Nicholas Eisele before forcing Eisele’s girlfriend into her vehicle and fleeing the state with her. The 23-year-old girlfriend was located Sunday at a rest stop near Paterson, New Jersey, with her 2016 Volkswagen Jetta and was not hurt, according to police.Meanwhile, Pennsylvania State Police say Manfredonia was dropped off by an Uber in front of a Walmart in East Stroudsburg before walking behind the store and onto a set of train tracks on Sunday. A surveillance photo shared by authorities appears to show Manfredonia walking on the tracks in a white t-shirt and dark colored shorts, carrying a large duffel bag. Police believe the bag is full of guns that the suspect stole from a home invasion in Connecticut.??UPDATE??SUSPECT was last seen yesterday (Sunday) afternoon in East Stroudsburg, Monroe County, PA. Description:White Male, 23 years old, dark colored shorts, white t-shirt & carrying a large duffel bag. If seen, DO NOT APPROACH, ARMED & DANGEROUS ?? CALL 911 IMMEDIATELY!?? 1294

A Spanish man spent his summer vacation paddling his way from the west coast of the U.S. across the Pacific Ocean to Hawaii. It took Antonio de la Rosa 76 days to paddle some 2,500 miles while standing on a submarine-shaped craft. He had planned to make the trip in 70 days, but suspects he drifted too far north at one point during his journey. He celebrated his 50th birthday at sea and arrived Saturday in Honolulu.de la Rosa said Monday that he's feeling a bit tired. He paddled eight-to-10 hours daily and slept every night. But he was always tired because he woke up hourly to check on his gear.In addition to a sleeping cabin, de la Rosa's boat included computers and GPS systems that ran on solar energy created by panels on the roof. However, the boat was only moved by wind, ocean currents and de la Rosa himself. He believes no one has ever done what he accomplished. In Spain, he runs an adventure tourism business and says he enjoys adventurous vacations. 976

After attending a protest in Tulsa AND being well protective of myself, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Please, if you are going to protest, take care of yourself and stay safe.— Amen Ogbongbemiga (@closedprayer) 230

An American, who left the U.S. two weeks ago to climb Machu Pichu in Peru, says he can’t return home. Husband and father, Chris McLeroy, left on March 13, and due to travel bans implemented in efforts to curb the COVID-19 outbreak, he says he can’t get back to America or even across the border to get a flight home.“We are told we are not allowed back into the U.S because the borders of Peru have been closed, and so there is no travel between the regions,” he said.Meanwhile, over 4,000 miles away, his wife and son are forced to wait.“We all have our moments of sad and worry,” said McLeroy’s wife, Jodi. “I have to hide all that because I don’t want my son to see it. I want him to feel safe.”Every day, Jodie McLeroy is working with local officials, including her U.S senator, desperately trying to get her husband home. The couple is trying not to lose hope. “It’s certainly creating an anxiety not being able to be there with my family going through this,” Chris McLeroy said.He says he needs transportation to the nearest airport, but the roads are blocked.“It’s going to take the U.S. government to make that arrangement to get them to the airport,” he said. But, the question is, when will that happen?“I have faith he will make it home,” Jodie McLeroy said. “I just don’t know when.” 1305

Actor-comedian John Witherspoon, who memorably played Ice Cube’s father in the “Friday” films, has died. He was 77.Witherspoon’s manager Alex Goodman confirmed late Tuesday that Witherspoon died in Los Angeles. No cause of death was released. The actor had a prolific career, co-starring in three “Friday” films, appearing on “The Wayans Bros.” television series and voicing the grandfather in “The Boondocks” animated series. His film roles included “Vampire in Brooklyn” and “Boomerang,” and he was a frequent guest on “Late Show with David Letterman.”For many his most recognizable role was “Pops,” Ice Cube’s father in the stoner comedy “Friday” and its two sequels, a crude but affectionate father trying to guide his son to be better.“Life won’t be as funny without him,” Ice Cube said in a Twitter post late Tuesday, adding that he was devastated by news of Witherspoon’s death.Regina King, who appeared as Witherspoon’s daughter in “Friday” and also voiced both of his grandsons in the animated series “The Boondocks” called him her “comedic inspiration” on Twitter.Goodman referred to a family statement issued to the website Deadline that said the family was in shock over Witherspoon’s death. The statement says Witherspoon, who was born on Jan. 27, 1942, is survived by his wife, Angela, and sons JD and Alexander.JD Witherspoon tweeted that he was happy for all the great times he and his dad had together.“We’d roast each other like homies more than Father & Son, and I really liked that. He was my best friend & my idol,” JD Witherspoon posted. “Love U Dad...I’ll miss u.” 1605
