NATIONAL CITY (KGTV) -- Police in National City are searching for several suspects who reportedly robbed a jewelry store early Tuesday afternoon. According to police, three suspects entered the Eclipse Jewelry store just before 12:30 p.m. The suspects, only described as police as three black men, smashed three to six jewelry cases and got away with an unknown amount of jewelry. Police are looking into whether or not this incident is linked to a string of jewelry store robberies in late 2018 and early 2017. Between December of 2018 and February of 2019, at least three other jewelry stores throughout San Diego County were robbed in a similary manner. MoviePass, the struggling movie subscription service, will limit customers to three movies per month.The company is trying to burn less cash so it can stay in business.Under the previous plan, customers could see one movie per day in theaters. The change to three movies per month takes effect August 15. MoviePass says 85% of its customers already see no more than three per month.The company also announced Monday that it will keep the monthly subscription price at .99. (KGTV) -- A National City Police Officer has been placed on administrative leave for allegedly using racist and insensitive language during text conversations that surfaced online.The comments were reportedly made during a private text message conversation between the officer and a member of his family.
