SINGAPORE, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- China and Singapore aim to lift up their already-close ties with a new strategic framework and through more practical cooperation, as Chinese President Xi Jinping ended a two-day visit to the city-state on Saturday.
After the summit, Xi will fly to Manila, the Philippines to attend the 23rd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting scheduled for Nov. 18-19.
The AU Chairperson said African states are ready to cooperate with China in order to promote economic growth and social transformation.
China has vowed to lift all of its poor out of poverty by 2020, when its next five-year-plan is completed.
ASEAN attaches great importance to and values the strategic partnership between the bloc and China, the leaders said, adding that ASEAN and China have much more common interests than divergences.
