The number of trips abroad made by Chinese citizens was 116.59 million, among which those for private purposes reached 110.03 million, an increase of 19.6 percent over the previous year.

More than 3,400 soldiers and 1,700 police together with 149 vessels and a helicopter have taken part in the rescue mission.
