PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – Florida has recorded its youngest death from COVID-19, a 9-year-old girl.Kimora Lynum died last Saturday in Putnam County, a community located between Jacksonville and Orlando.Her family says Kimmie had no underlying health conditions when she developed a very high fever.Relatives say Kimmie was taken to the hospital for treatment, but was sent home. The child collapsed a short time later and died after her heart failed.Her family has no idea how or where Kimmie contracted coronavirus. Her grief-stricken mother says the child was healthy, stayed home all summer and she had no contact with anyone who had COVID-19.The 9-year-old is the fifth child in Florida to die from the virus. More than 400,000 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the state, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University. 840

Price gouging continues to be a problem for Amazon shoppers, according to the U.S Public Interest Research Group (PIRG).A consumer watchdog says the price spikes are not based on normal supply and demand.“People are really struggling right now, and the last thing that they need to worry about is going to the store or going online and finding the products that they really need to keep themselves safe at ridiculous prices,” said Grace Brombach, a consumer watchdog associate with U.S. PIRG.U.S. PIRG found a wide range of products can cost two to 14 times more. For example, disinfecting wipes cost nearly on amazon, compared to about at other stores.They suggest making sure you know the average price and shopping around.As part of the HEROES Act, Congress passed price gouging legislation.Some states have bills to further define emergency products to fight price spikes. Still, U.S. PIRG expects this problem to continue.“We see situations like this come up in hurricanes and tornadoes, when people need to buy space heaters and electric lamps,” said Brombach. “And so, this will continue to be a problem going into the future if we don't address this issue now.”Early on in the pandemic, Amazon removed thousands of listings and third party sellers from its website for suspected price gouging.In August, Amazon said it was working to maintain its “fair pricing policy” while taking reasonable increases into account. 1439

In the advertisement, Cohen warns voters that Trump “can’t be trusted.”While Cohen had a privileged glance of the president over the years, his creditability has taken a hit. No charges were filed in that case.The ad first ran on Night 1 of the Republican National Convention on Monday, and is sponsored by American Bridge 21st Century, which is backing Trump opponent Joe Biden in the upcoming election.“I was complicit in helping conceal the real Donald Trump. I was part of creating an illusion,” Cohen said"He can't be trusted and you shouldn't believe a word he utters," Cohen added. "So, when you watch the president, this week, remember this. If he says something is huge, it's probably small. If he says something will work, it probably won't.”Beyond the ad, Cohen is becoming a more vocal critic of the president.
