The US announced major new restrictions on US citizens traveling to Cuba on Tuesday.The new regulations announced by the Treasury will block the most common way Americans are able to visit the island through organized tour groups that license US citizens to travel automatically.These regulatory changes were originally announced on April 17. At the time, White House national security adviser John Bolton said the Treasury Department would "implement further regulatory changes to restrict non-family travel to Cuba."The new restrictions will prohibit cruise ship passengers whose trips are arranged as organized tours.The Trump administration recently allowed US companies and Cuban-Americans to sue companies using property that was seized after the 1959 Cuban revolution, including cruise ship terminals and airports.Carnival Cruise Line was the first company to be sued under Title III of the Helms-Burton law, which previous administrations had waived. 970

The Trump administration is proposing a rollback of nutrition guidelines for school meals that had been promoted by Michelle Obama as part of her campaign to combat child obesity. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue says the rule changes are needed to give schools more flexibility and reduce waste while still providing nutritious and appetizing meals. But child nutrition advocates say the change will result in fewer fruits and vegetables and more fries, pizza and other unhealthy foods in the meals served at school. The overall quality of a new, model year 2019 vehicle was no better than in 2018, despite the average vehicle price increasing from year to year.In a study released Wednesday by J.D. Power and Associates, it measured the number of problems experienced during the first 90 days of ownership. Based on this standard, the study found 13 brands improved, while 18 worsened. Overall, it found that there were 93 problems per 100 vehicles with new cars. Some models, on average, had more than one problem per vehicle. The study found that Genesis was the best performing brand in 2019 with 63 problems per 100 vehicles. Genesis was followed by Kia with 70 problems per 100 vehicles. The worst performing auto brand was Jaguar with 130 problems per 100 vehicles. “Automakers continue to make progress in areas like infotainment that attract a lot of consumer attention,” said Dave Sargent, Vice President of Global Automotive at J.D. Power. “However, some traditional problems crept up this year including paint imperfections, brake and suspension noises, engines not starting and the ‘check engine’ light coming on early in the ownership experience.
