SEOUL, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- The high frequency of mutual visits by Chinese and South Korean leaders has offered a glimpse into the increasingly warm relations between the two East Asian neighbors amid their burgeoning trade ties.

The two-day summit, themed "Africa-China Progressing Together: Win-Win Cooperation for Common Development," will be remembered in history as a new starting point in building a much stronger China-Africa partnership.
At a UN summit in September, Xi announced that in the next five years, China will provide a total of 100 million U.S. dollars of free military aid for the Africa Union (AU) to support the establishment of the African Standby Force. China will also deploy its first helicopter detachment in UN peacekeeping missions in Africa.
Both sides, Li said, should also deepen their pragmatic exchanges and cooperation and enhance communication over their macro-economic policies so as to cope with challenges together, given the backdrop of the weak recovery of global economy.
