SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A heartbroken Allied Gardens homeowner is pleading for the return of a stolen trailer? which contained the belongings of her hospitalized mother.When Erin Rose went out to the driveway of her home on Delbarton Street Friday morning, she froze. "My heart just dropped into my stomach. I felt nauseous," said Rose.Missing from her driveway was her 5-ft x 8-ft trailer. Drag marks revealed how it left the home."You can see it extends all the way to the street ... and to the intersection," said Rose.Rose had locked up the trailer in two places. The only thing she found were the remnants of one of the locks."Just heartbreaking and sad," said Rose. The trailer contained all the belongings of her mother Gail, 74, a part-time San Diegan recently hospitalized in Wisconsin with a heart condition. Rose had been storing her mother's belongings since buying a home months ago."That's all my mom has left. Now she has nothing," said Rose.Inside the trailer: furniture, household items, and some jewelry, including family heirlooms. There was also a lifetime of photos. Most of them haven't been digitized. Rose waited a week to tell her mother, until she was strong enough to receive the news."She cried, she cried. She knew she couldn't get stressed out, couldn't get her heart rate up. Right now she's focusing on her health. Hasn't really hit her she's going to come back to nothing," said Rose.Rose is now hoping to change that by making a plea for tips."I just want when she comes back to be able to have her photos on her nightstand. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man is being investigated on suspicion of DUI after driving into a house in San Diego’s Skyline neighborhood early Sunday morning.According to police, the man was driving his 2002 Mercedes Benz on the 6800 block of Madrone Avenue when he drifted off the road, went down an embankment and slammed into a house.The man received serious facial injuries and was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police say.The house had only minor damage. It’s unclear if anyone inside the home was hurt in the crash. 556

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A San Diego man is accused of having and distributing explicit images of minors.According to a federal complaint that was just unsealed authorities allege Gilad Daniel Reifler knowingly distributed visual depictions of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct and possessed images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.The federal documents say agents used peer-to-peer file sharing software to connect to his computer in January 2017 and obtain more than four thousand images. Agents say they were able to connect to the computer on two other dates and obtain more sexually explicit files.According to the complaint in June of 2017 agents searched Reifler’s home where they claim he admitted to obtaining and distributing child pornography via the same P2P file-sharing program that they used to obtain the images from a device in his residence.Court documents say, “following the execution of the search warrant I reviewed media seized from Reifler’s residents. The results showed over 170,000 images and over 10,000 videos depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct on media seized.”A man who identified himself has Gilad Reifler told Team 10 investigator Adam Racusin he had no comment about the allegations.10News tried to get a hold of Reifler’s attorney, but as of this writing have not heard back.The FBI tells Team 10 they can’t comment on anything outside of what’s already in the public documents. 1466

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A San Diego judge has ruled that demolition of the historic California Theatre would violate environmental law.The theatre, which was built in 1926, was the largest vaudeville and movie palace in San Diego.City Council approved the demolition of the theatre in 2017. The proposed demolition, however, required an environmental impact report.RELATED: San Diego approves replacement for dilapidated California Theatre?The legal challenge to the approval, filed by the Save Our Heritage Organization, said the city failed to adequately address the ability to adapt and reuse the California Theatre.The court granted SOHO’s legal petition because the review failed to comply with the California Environmental Quality Act.The demolition approved by the city would have allowed a 40-story skyscraper to be built that would have included 282 residential units."The California Theatre is an outstanding historic building that has been standing for almost 100 years, it presents many opportunities for successful adaptive reuse to revitalize the C Street corridor. When the City's EIR failed to study alternatives to demolition, we put our faith in the Court to enforce CEQA. We are grateful for the Court's comprehensive enforcement of environmental law and look forward to review of an alternative in an EIR that will allow this historic building to survive as part of a successful new project. In total, the average San Diego household spent nearly ,000 per year on expenses, according to the report by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. From 2017 to 2018, more than ,000 went to housing for the average San Diegan, accounting for nearly 36 percent of families’ household budgets.
