BEIJING, June 3 (Xinhua) -- A bus driver who saved 24 of his passengers after being fatally injured by a piece of metal that flew through his bus's windshield has garnered praise for his selfless deed.
He Guoqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remark Friday at a meeting for reviewing local Party committees and governments' implementation of the central authorities' policy.
The move came as part of a greater plan for the nation to eventually build a deep sea station where submersibles can dock and oceanauts can work.
