(KGTV) - The beloved American holiday classic cartoons featuring Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the Peanuts gang return to ABC in the weeks ahead. “A Charlie Brown Christmas” debuted in 1965 as the first animated show featuring Peanuts. It was brought to life by the comic strip’s creator Charles Schulz and director Bill Melendez. In a rare move for the time, Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy and the other characters were voiced by children, producer Lee Mendelson wrote in a book about the film. Also unique was the jazz soundtrack created by pianist Vince Guaraldi. (KGTV) — Two people killed in a Christmas Eve. crash on State Route 78 in Ramona have been identified by San Diego's medical examiner.Christian Diaz, a minor, and Gonzalo Rodriguez, 44, died Monday in collided head-on collision on SR-78 near W. Haverford Road just after 11 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol.The county medical examiner said Rodriguez was driving westbound on SR-78 when he lost control of the Toyota Camry he was driving and crossed into the oncoming lane, colliding with the truck. (KGTV) -  The safety driver behind the wheel of an autonomous Uber vehicle that struck and killed a woman in Arizona is a convicted felon, according to ABC affiliate KABC.The driver, identified as 44-year-old Rafael Vasquez, was in the self-driving car when it fatally hit 49-year-old Elaine Herzberg as she crossed an unlit Tempe, Ariz., roadway outside of a crosswalk with her bicycle.Court documents showed someone with the same name and birthdate served more than four years for two felony convictions: One for making false statement when obtaining unemployment benefits and the other for armed robbery, according to KABC.RELATED: Police release video after Uber self-driving car hits, kills womanWhile the crash has raised concerns over Uber's driver screening policy, the company states "everyone deserves a fair chance" in regards to employing those with a criminal record.Uber said Vasquez met the company's hiring requirements, KABC reported.
