A high-speed police pursuit has ended in a Phoenix neighborhood as police continue to search the area for at least one suspect.Police say they were following a possible stolen vehicle and attempted to pull the driver over Tuesday when the suspect refused to stop.Helicopter video showed the white SUV in the Biltmore area around noon, going the wrong way in traffic and driving on light rail tracks near Central Avenue and Thomas Road to avoid stoplights. Video from helicopter showed what appeared to be stop sticks deployed on the vehicle that caused a tire to blow near a neighborhood in west Phoenix. The vehicle was then seen driving through multiple front yards and sidewalks around 12:30 p.m. The occupants of the car bailed in front of a home on foot. Police say one woman, the passenger in the vehicle, was taken into custody. The male driver is still missing and believed to be hiding in the neighborhood.Police say the male suspect is believed to be responsible for at least three carjackings. During one of the carjackings Tuesday, a Phoenix police officer tried to intervene and fired shots toward the suspect. A federal judge has reportedly thrown out President Trump’s latest effort to block the Manhattan district attorney from subpoenaing his financial records, according to multiple outlets.President Trump’s lawyers made their final arguments to block the prosecutor from getting his tax records on August 10. U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero issued his ruling Thursday.The same judge refused to throw out the subpoena last year. A crowd of people holding signs and demanding justice for Joe Clyde Daniels gathered outside of the courthouse in Dickson County.As the parents of Joe Clyde Daniels were brought into the courthouse one at a time Friday morning, first the father then about 15 minutes later the mother, the crowd loudly and repeatedly chanted, "Where is baby Joe?"Joseph and Krystal Daniels have both been in jail on a million bond each.During their separate appearances, both Joseph and Krystal waived their rights to a preliminary hearing. A church in the Charlotte, North Carolina, area is confronting a massive COVID-19 outbreak.According to the Mecklenburg County Public Health, there have been 68 confirmed COVID-19 cases potentially connected with convocation events held at the United House of Prayer For All People. The events were held from October 4 to 11.Among the 68 confirmed cases, there have been four hospitalizations and two fatalities. Six of the confirmed cases were among residents of an assisted living facility.In response, public health officials have been attempting to conduct contact tracing to identify other possible cases. As of Wednesday, there were 94 close contacts that public health officials were attempting to reach.Complicating matters, Deputy Health Director Dr. Raynard Washington said that several attendees traveled from abroad.Churches have been a concern for public health officials since the start of the pandemic, prompting many religious institutions to have online or outdoor services amid the pandemic.Another major church-related outbreak was reported in Ohio during the summer. Fifty-three attendees became infected with the coronavirus in July prompting concern from Gov. Mike DeWine.Early in the pandemic in March, according to the CDC, 53 members of a Skagit County, Washington, church choir who participated in a March 10 practice had a confirmed or probably case of the coronavirus.“The act of singing, itself, might have contributed to transmission through emission of aerosols, which is affected by loudness of vocalization,” the CDC said. 1563
