LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KGTV) -- Federal agents are in the process of seizing hundreds of guns from a home in a wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood, according to KABC. ATF agents could be seen laying out hundreds, possibly even thousands of guns in the Holmby Hills neighborhood near Sunset Boulevard and Beverly Glen. Many of the weapons appeared in a live video to be rifles. No details have so far been provided by ATF. The agency did say that it executed the search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation. Massachusetts is the first state since the deadly shooting in Las Vegas last month to ban bump stocks, the gun accessory the shooter used to increase his rate of fire.Bump stocks became a major source of discussion among lawmakers across the country after the attachments were found on the guns of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock, who killed 58 and injured some 500 last month. But talk of banning the devices nationwide appears to have stalled.Beginning in 2018, penalties for the possession or use of a bump stock or trigger crank in Massachusetts will range from probation to life in prison, Representative David Linsky, a Democrat who proposed the amendment, told CNN.The new law defines a bump stock as "any device for a weapon that increases the rate of fire achievable with such weapon by using energy from the recoil of the weapon to generate a reciprocating action that facilitates repeated activation of the trigger."In other words, the devices allow semi-automatic rifles to fire more rapidly, similar to automatic weapons. Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer announced that a citywide curfew will be extended through the weekend as unrest in the city reignited on Wednesday.The demonstrations were sparked by a grand jury announcement that charges would not be filed against the two officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor during a March raid.The curfew will continue from 9 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. every day through Monday. The curfew does not apply to people commuting to work, house of worship for services or seeking medical attention for themselves or others.The city has also closed some of the city’s downtown government facilities through Monday morning.On Wednesday, 127 arrests were tied to demonstrations in the city.
