SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A water main break Monday forced San Diego firefighters to evacuate Point Loma neighbors due to a potential hillside collapse.The break happened about 2:30 p.m. on Larga Circle near Leland St. The residential area is just west of the Vons shopping center on Midway Drive.According to SDFD, 10 homes were evacuated due to the break. The broken water main is on a slope between homes at the top and bottom of the slope. At least one home had flooding to the garage.City engineers are being called to the scene. 545

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Adam Shacknai testified Monday in the wrongful death civil lawsuit filed by the family of Rebecca Zahau, whose body was found hanging at the Spreckels Mansion in Coronado.The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s office ruled Zahau’s death was a suicide. Zahau’s family believes she was murdered at the home on 1043 Ocean Blvd.Adam Shacknai, the brother of Zahau’s boyfriend Jonah, told investigators he removed Zahau’s body from the balcony about 6:45 a.m. the morning of July 13, 2011.In testimony, Shacknai said he called 911.Investigators found her body on the ground, her hands and feet bound with red rope. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A woman is dead after a shooting in the Skyline area, Saturday afternoon. San Diego Police detectives said around 5:30 pm, two cars were traveling northbound on Meadowbrook Drive. Both drivers stopped at the red light at Skyline Drive. Then, the passengers got into an argument. "Our victim got out of the second vehicle and approached the front vehicle on the passenger side," Homicide Lt. Matt Dobbs said. Meanwhile, the motive of the shooting remains unknown. Police describe the shooter as a Black man in his 20's, driving a black Mercedes Benz. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- After shutting down six months ago amid the deadly coronavirus pandemic, the city of Anaheim is calling on California Gov. Gavin Newsom to reopen Disneyland Resort theme parks.According to the Voice of Orange County website, Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu said the city is looking at a 0 million budget deficit. Sidhu added that half of the city's general fund budget comes from Disneyland's revenue and the Anaheim Convention Center.The city is now asking Newsom to issue COVID-related health guidelines for theme parks.USA Today reported park officials believe theme parks have been left waiting on the sidelines while other parts of the state economy have reopened. Anaheim is currently in Stage 2 of its reopening plan, which excludes theme parks.Both Disneyland and Universal Studios in Southern California shut their doors to the public in mid-March after Newsom's order to suspend large gatherings.California theme park officials say they've had time to work on reopening plans that would allow them to safely welcome guests. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — An arrest has been made in the death of a teenager found dead in a Rancho Bernardo street last March.San Diego Police say Angel Ramirez, 19, of Escondido, was arrested Wednesday in connection with the death of a 16-year-old male on March 7, 2019.The teenage victim was found just before midnight lying in the middle of the street in the 16800 block of Cresta Dr. Police said despite life-saving efforts, the teen died at the scene.
