SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Police are searching for the man they say shot at two people in a Clairemont strip mall before fleeing in an SUV Wednesday morning.Police say a heavy-set Hispanic man shot at two men in the 5600 block of Balboa Ave. at about 9:30 a.m. The two men were standing near or were inside a red Ford Mustang, San Diego Police added.One of the victim fled the area on foot, while the other victim, a 21-year-old man, drove himself to a nearby urgent car facility. He was treated for a gunshot wound to the upper leg.The suspect was a passenger in a white GMC SUV that was being driven by a woman, SDPD said. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One day after San Diego County allowed dining in restaurants to resume with modifications, Pacific Beach's El Prez was ordered to close for violating county public health orders.Now, the restaurant and bar says it's hoping to reopen sometime next week after passing an health department inspection.Last week, El Prez was the scene of customers ignoring physical distancing and facial covering rules. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — One person was killed and another was injured after a house party in a south central San Diego neighborhood turned deadly.San Diego Police received reports of gunfire just after midnight Saturday in the area of Julian and Marcy Avenues in Logan Heights. Police on scene said an argument at a party escalated into a shooting. At least two people were hit by gunfire.Crews on scene were captured performing chest compression on one person as they were loaded into an ambulance.A man in his 20s was transported to a nearby hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Another person was injured but refused medical attention, police said. Neither victim has been identified.Police said the suspect fled the scene. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Officials with the the Department of Homeland Security announced Friday plans to screen people returning from restricted countries.American citizens, legal permanent residents, and their immediate families returning to the United States will be required to arrive at one of 13 airports for enhanced screening for coronavirus.“While the overall risk of serious infection from the coronavirus to the general public remains low at this time, the Trump administration is taking these aggressive measures to keep the risk low, requiring all Americans returning from affected areas in Europe to be funneled through 13 airports for screening upon their return to the U.S.,” said Acting Secretary Wolf. “To minimize disruptions to travelers, TSA, CBP, and air carriers are working to identify qualifying passengers before their scheduled flights.
