SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — While the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights was sidelined because of the pandemic this year, organizers brought the event's annual joy online.Organizers released a video compilation of the parade from years past for what would have been the parade's 49th annual event."We are saddened that we cannot gather this year to celebrate the San Diego Bay Parade of Lights, but we can see the magnificently decorated boats from previous years in our recap video that is shared online," said parade Chairman Larry Bauman.The Bay Parade of Lights routinely brings more than 100,000 visitors to the waterfront, as 80 decorated boats glide through the bay on two weekends."Let us all do what we can to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and stay safe so that we can come back next year and celebrate the 2021 holiday season and enjoy the Parade of Lights on the bayfront," said Bauman.You can see the parade's look back: 927

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Only in San Diego, an Easter egg hunt on the beach! Hundreds of kids were out in Mission Beach looking for eggs spread out in the sand. Belmont Park hosted the event for the 5th year in a row. Over 13,000 eggs were scattered in the sand, filled with candy, ride wristbands and food vouchers. The hunt was scheduled in age groups so the smaller children would also have a chance to find the prizes. A second Easter egg hunt happened inside of Belmont Park completely free to the public. The event is so popular that some traveled from out of state and even out of the country to have their kids look for the eggs in the sand. Some of the Easter eggs had golden tickets inside, with prizes worth up to .  763

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — While the bulk of rainfall has moved out of San Diego County for the week, high winds and surf while persist through the weekend.A large west-northwest swell will bring a high surf advisory to San Diego County through Saturday until 8 p.m., with surf reaching 6 to 10 feet along the county's southern coastline. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Weeks after storms flooded University of California San Diego dorms, students are still reeling from the damage.UCSD officials said 41 students, from Thurgood Marshall and Revelle Colleges, were relocated after the flooding Nov. 20. By Dec. 6, they said 19 had moved back into their rooms.Students showed 10News their dorms that smelled of mold. Friday, a dorm in the Thurgood Marshall Lowers Apartments had a hole in the ceiling. Students said the hole was cut after water fell from the ceiling days after the Nov. 20 storm."I noticed something dropping and it's like starting to smell," a student said. "It started dropping from three holes in the ceiling ...
