An Iowa State fan who used his viral moment to raise over million for a children’s hospital is being rewarded with a year’s supply of Busch Light – featuring his own face. Busch unveiled the special “Iowa Legend” beer can on Twitter and said they would be sending a truck of the cans to the fan, Carson King. King went viral on Sept. 14 when he was featured in the background of the announcers on ESPN’s “College Game Day,” holding a sign that read “Busch Light Supply Needs Replenished” along with his Venmo name. Afterwards, viewers started sending money to King and the donations soon reached thousands of dollars. Realizing he couldn’t drink that much beer, he decided to donate the money to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. (AP) - A Louisiana police officer who crashed a speeding sports car while off duty will face no criminal charges in the death of a child.Prosecutors cleared Christopher Manuel of negligent homicide, even though investigators say he was driving an orange Corvette at 94 mph (151 kph) before crashing into an SUV, killing a child and injuring others in 2017.The East Baton Rouge District Attorney said Tuesday that his office didn't bring charges because the child's mother also contributed to the death, by putting the infant in a child seat that wasn't properly belted in.The Advocate reports that investigators determined Manuel was going twice the speed limit, and that while both Manuel and SUV driver had green lights, Manuel's speed made it impossible for the SUV to yield.Prosecutors also considered a negligent homicide charge against Brittany Stephens, whose child was killed, because they said she had placed the child in an unrestrained car seat atop the SUV's center console.District Attorney Hillar Moore III said his office decided not to charge either driver because prosecutors "couldn't really determine" who was responsible "based on the facts of the case and what the law requires."Manuel still works as a Baton Rouge Police officer, assigned to desk duty. He's awaiting a resolution in the department's internal affairs process.Police initially filed citations against occupants of the SUV, saying it was overcrowded, nobody was wearing seatbelts and the driver didn't have a license. Those citations were allowed to expire. A misdemeanor speeding count against Manuel also expired without action. Moore said prosecuting Manuel for speeding would have meant forfeiting the negligent homicide charge because of double jeopardy laws at the time. An arrest has been made after authorities say a driver intentionally rammed another car in Southern California, killing three teenage boys and injuring three others. The California Highway Patrol says the Toyota Prius was hit Sunday night in Temescal Valley, went off the road and slammed into a tree. Three boys died and three had moderate injuries. A witness followed the other car and CHP officers arrested 42-year-old Anurag Chandra of Corona in a neighborhood near the accident scene. He was booked on suspicion of murder with malice. BRECKENRIDGE, Colo. – Sleeping guests inside a Breckenridge, Colorado, home were awakened early Friday morning to the sound of broken glass. Thinking they were being burglarized, the guests called 911. But when officers arrived on scene, they soon discovered the trespasser was not the typical troublemaker they regularly encounter. Breckenridge police found that a moose had crashed through a window in the home’s basement.
