SAND WASH BASIN, Colo. — They all have a story about Picasso, now the most famous wild horse in America, as if the old pinto was putting on a show just for them. It might be the first time they saw the tri-color mustang galloping across the scrubby terrain of Colorado's Sand Wash Basin, heading full tilt toward a watering hole. It might be when they witnessed Picasso engaged in battle, clashing like a knight with a dusty black and white mane. And it might be an encounter that almost sounds too good to be true.Patti Mosbey experienced this moment in the summer of 2014, and she still insists she wouldn't believe it had she not seen it herself.She was making one final pass through the sprawling Basin, looking for wild horses along County Road 67, when she raised her binoculars and saw a speck in the distance. She soon realized it was Picasso. SAN FRANCISCO — Federal and state officials in California were preparing Monday to receive thousands of people from a cruise ship that was idling off the coast of San Francisco with at least 21 people aboard infected with the coronavirus. The ship docked around midday Monday as officials prepared to begin to slowly disembark passengers and crew. The process could take several days. Fences were being installed at an 11-acre site at the Port of Oakland, as authorities readied flights and buses to whisk the more than 2,000 passengers aboard the Grand Princess to military bases or their home countries for a 14-day quarantine. There are more than 3,500 passengers on the ship, who hail from 54 countries. Questions have surrounded the cruise ship since reports surfaced last week that one person had died of COVID-19 aboard the ship. After the cases of the virus were concerned, the ship has attempted to quarantine passengers in their rooms and asked the passengers to practice "social distancing" by standing about six feet away from each other.Princess Cruises also operated the Diamond Princess, a ship that was moored for weeks in February off the coast of Japan after passengers tested positive for the coronavirus. Ultimately, about 700 passengers tested positive for the virus and seven people died.The quarantine practices used on the Diamond Princess have been questioned since passengers disembarked.The U.S. death toll from the virus reached at least 21 and the number of cases worldwide soared above 110,000. 1538

"It's a regular seatbelt but the bottom part hooks in between the legs versus covering the belly," said Leah.The couple knows a maternity seatbelt might be considered extreme and Dr. Carewe says to be careful when purchasing certain safety products."There are so many things out there, so it's hard to know what’s good from the product websites," said Dr. Carewe. Besides reading reviews on the product, Dr. Carewe suggests always consulting your doctor before making a purchase like this. And to remember, a baby is safest in the belly. "Babies are inside the amniotic sac, which is inside the uterus, which is a very thick muscular wall that provides a lot of protection to babies," said Dr. Carewe.Wearing a standard seatbelt while pregnant is Dr. Carewe's recommendation, solely because not enough studies have been done on the safety of maternity belts.However, she knows that moms need to do what's right for their baby.And for Leah and Kierra, it gives them peace of mind. Talk about bad timing.A Tesla electric police patrol car in San Francisco ran low on power at one of the worst possible times last Friday -- during a pursuit.It's unclear exactly why the 2014 Tesla Model S 85 wasn't fully charged and lost juice at such an inopportune moment, according to Fremont Police Department's spokesperson, Geneva Bosques."It happens from time to time, especially if an officer returns to the station to take a report and then they never go back out in the street," she told CNN.The police officer driving the Tesla was pursuing a suspect who was wanted in connection with a crime in Santa Clara, according to Bosques. After confirming the license plate, the officer attempted a traffic stop, the car failed to yield and the driver took off at a high rate of speed, she said."Just realized I am down to six miles of battery on the Tesla, so I may lose it here in a sec," the officer driving the Tesla said, according to Fremont Police dispatch audio obtained via Broadcastify.Other police units were following behind to assist and ultimately took over the pursuit with help from California State Highway Patrol, according to Bosques. She said the chase was called off after 10 minutes when it was deemed unsafe because of the way the suspect was driving.California State Highway Patrol later found the suspect's car abandoned in San Jose.Fremont Police said they are still in their 6 months of a pilot program testing the integration of the Tesla with the department and that they are keeping track of all the data."We have no written policy regarding gas or charging, but the general guideline is that it should at least be half full at the beginning of the shift, which this car was," Bosques said.Bosques said last week's incident doesn't change the way the department feels about the performance of the car for patrol purposes. 1867

Quest Diagnostics says nearly 12 million people could have been affected by a data breach that includes their personal information, certain financial data, Social Security numbers and medical information.According to the company, American Medical Collection Agency informed Quest that an unauthorized user had access to AMCA's system containing personal information they received from various entities, including Quest.AMCA provides billing collection services to Optum360, which is a Quest contractor.According to Quest, AMCA first notified them May 14 of potential unauthorized activity on the AMCA web payment page, and on May 31, they notified them that the data included information on about 11.9 million Quest patients.AMCA has not yet given detailed or complete information about the data breach to Quest or Optum360, the company said, including which information of which individuals may have been affected. Quest has not also been able to verify the accuracy of information received from AMCA, they said."Quest is taking this matter very seriously and is committed to the privacy and security of our patients’ personal information.
