BEIJING, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday warned against resolving differences among cultures through compulsory means, saying it is doomed to fail.
"It is not easy to get such results in a campaign, and even harder to maintain those achievements," said Liu Yunshan, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
The pledge came out of a meeting between China's top legislator Zhang Dejiang and Vice Chairman of the Lower House of the Kazakh parliament Dariga Nazarbayeva.
The two sides will step up exchanges between their humanitarian and medical aid teams in epidemic-hit countries to share knowledge and experience on preventing and curing the disease.
China hopes to work closely with Tanzania to implement the important consensus reached by state leaders of both countries, to enhance substantial cooperation in all areas and boost greater progress of bilateral all-round cooperative partnership, Li said.
