DJ Kashief Hamilton says he was playing music on a cruise ship dock at St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands when he heard a loud scream. "We would have lost someone who is both a family member and a passenger."They easily could have lost their own lives, too, if a gust of wind had buffeted the waves, moving the massive Carnival Fascination cruise ship parked at the dock. If the ship had shifted a few yards, the three could have been crushed against the dock, Hamilton said.A spokeswoman for Carnival Cruise Line declined to identify the passenger who was rescued, but told CNN, "The guest was seen by our medical team and did not sustain injuries. CHICAGO, Illinois (WBBM) — Federal charges were filed against Donald Greene Sr. and Donald Green Jr. -- a Chicago area father and son -- for allegedly selling body parts on the black market from people who thought they were donating to science.The pair also allegedly sold parts they knew were diseased without telling their buyers.Bodies known to have HIV, sepsis and hepatitis kept on ice, then sold.Some were sold for up to 0,000.The father and son duo was behind the now shuttered Biological Resource Center of Illinois.Per a search warrant, a mother was told her son’s tissues would be donated to colleges and research centers.Instead, parts of him sold for ,000.In the charges filed, United States attorneys repeatedly call it a scheme "to defraud customers of the Biological Resource Center of Illinois."It's not illegal to dismember and broker body parts -- per se.But it is illegal to knowingly sell remains positive for infectious disease.It is alleged the Greene’s did this from 2008 to 2014.The federal document charging the Greene’s alleges the men sold to Detroit Medical Center’s sports medicine department at least one specimen that “had previously tested positive for hepatitis. This fact was concealed by Donald A. Greene Sr.'s scheme to defraud."Greene Sr. is charged with wire fraud.While Greene Jr. faces a felony for intentionally concealing a crime.Authorities were led to the Greene’s while investigating Detroit body broker Arthur Rathburn, who is now in federal prison. 1517

Jay Inslee on Wednesday announced he is suspending his presidential campaign.Inslee made the announcement during an interview on MSNBC.The Washingtonian made combating climate change the fundamental issue motivating his campaign, routinely telling reporters that the climate crisis affects "every issue" facing the country. With that in mind, he released a series of plans that tied the issue to everything from foreign policy to the economy to labor laws.But the governor failed to gain traction in the race to take on President Donald Trump. While the governor did recently reach the donor threshold to qualify for the third Democratic national debate, he had yet to reach the polling threshold and was therefore unlikely to qualify.Inslee was on the trail until the final days of his campaign. The governor released his sixth climate change policy proposal on Wednesday, a plan that tied combating the issue to agricultural policy.Inslee was scheduled to be in New Hampshire on Thursday for a presidential candidate forum at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics.Inslee did qualify for the first two Democratic debates, turning in performances in which he looked to steer the conversation towards combating climate change as often as possible.
