Robots are about to reach the next level, flexing their muscles like never before.It may not seem like much in this basement lab, but with a jolt of electricity, a team is creating the muscle of the future. "It's actually one of the closest analogs to natural muscle," says University of Colorado Boulder PhD student Shane Mitchell. "It almost performs like natural muscle."It's delicate enough to pick up a raspberry without bursting it, and an egg without breaking it. Yet strong enough to lift a gallon of water."We were inspired to create this artificial muscle from the world we live in," says Tim Morrissey, who manages the team at the Keplinger Research Group lab. The team develop HASEL, an artificial soft muscle that could enhance robot technology, making them better able to help people who need it."The robot needs to come into your home and work around you," Morrisey says. "And so if the robot is going to go up stairs it's going to need muscles to do that."HASEL muscle technology could also lead to advanced prosthetics.Morrisey says, "If you make a robot that has you know a skeleton frame with a soft bicep on it that moves up and down, you can do the same thing with a prosthetic."While other artificial muscles can be bulky, or unable to withstand electric pulses,  if there's an electric surge, HASEL can even repair itself. Indonesian police say they have broken up a child trafficking operation that was allegedly buying and selling babies on Instagram.Four people were arrested, including a 22-year-old mother and 29-year-old suspected broker in Indonesia's second largest city Surabaya, police said in a press conference Sunday.A midwife and a suspected buyer were also arrested on the resort island of Bali.Authorities were alerted to an account on the popular photo-sharing site with the handle "Konsultasi Hati Privat," or Private Heart Consultation, that presents itself as offering pregnancy consultations and adoption services.However, police said they have found evidence that monetary transactions were being carried out.The head of criminal investigation unit in Surabaya's police force , AKBP Sudamiran, said Tuesday that his team foiled an attempt by a 22-year-old mother, identified as LA, to sell her 11-month-old baby to a buyer in Bali, known as NS, using the messaging service WhatsApp. The baby was allegedly being offered for 15 million rupiah (about 7).The Instagram account was still active early Friday and had more than 700 followers, having been running for about a year. It has since been taken down.Images featured on the page included black and white photos of ultrasounds, pregnant mothers and babies with their faces blurred.In one image posted on September 15, a baby, referred to as C86, was featured alongside information such as age, gender and religion. INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis woman was moved to tears after seeing random strangers' response when a man using a wheelchair was flung after hitting a pothole. Carissa Brammer was driving on 86th Street Wednesday morning when she stopped at a stoplight.A man crossing the walk in his motorized wheelchair hit a "damn pothole," as she called it, and went flying forward.He was lying flat on his back in the middle of the intersection when people came running to help. "The first guy out was a suit and tie guy in his Lexus," she wrote. "Then an Asian man in his Lexus. Then a furniture delivery man. Then a couple black men. It was beautiful. Ivanka Trump last year used a personal email account to discuss or relay official White House business, according to emails released by a nonpartisan watchdog group.The Washington Post reported Monday the White House conducted an investigation into Trump's email usage and that she used her personal email address for much of 2017.According to emails released by the watchdog group, American Oversight, Trump used her personal account to email Cabinet officials, White House aides and assistants. The Presidential Records Act requires all official White House communications and records be preserved.Austin Evers, the executive director of American Oversight, said in a statement, "The president's family is not above the law, and there are serious questions that Congress should immediately investigate. Did Ivanka Trump turn over all of her emails for preservation as required by law? Was she sending classified information over a private system?"The White House had no comment on Ivanka Trump's email practices.A person close to Ivanka Trump told CNN's Poppy Harlow that "Ivanka's mindset is there is no malintent, and she is comfortable because there was no intent to avoid.""There was no intent to avoid government servers.
