And doctors say students are paying a price, citing an uptick in everything from eye strain to migraines."I feel that a lot of kids today have more dry eye,” said Dr. Kim Le, Pediatric Ophthalmologist at Henry Ford Health System. “They’re complaining that they’re blinking a lot, or I don’t know, their eyes are tired. Headaches as well.”These digital bright lights are taking discomfort to new heights. “Sometimes that act of focusing can cause headaches,” Le added.Perhaps no one knows that more than Kelly Billings’ 8-year-old twins and her teenager.“They have headaches, more often than they used to,” said Billings. “And randomly, eye pain, almost as if their eyes are straining.”The Michigan mother is especially worried about her daughter, a regular migraine sufferer, who pre-pandemic battled a migraine every three months. "But with virtual schooling, she has one at least every week,” said Billings. “I definitely know it affects her concentration.”Trisha Rowe’s 8-year-old son, Vedder, is enduring the same battle."He will come up to me and say, 'mom, my head hurts here.' But more than 1,500 alumni are not proud of their school's ties to the conservative lawyer and judge. They have posted a letter on social media expressing their opposition to Barrett's nomination to replace Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the U.S. Supreme Court after Ginsburg's death last month. The letter came after Rhodes president Marjorie Hass praised Barrett for her academic record and her "professional distinction and achievement." Marc Short, the chief of staff for Vice President Mike Pence, has contracted COVID-19, according to The New York Times and Bloomberg.Pence's staff says the Vice President tested negative for the virus on Saturday.According to the Times, Pence's office released a statement Saturday night saying that even though Pence had close contact with Short in recent days, he "will maintain his schedule in accordance with the CDC guidelines for essential personnel.”The announcement came shortly after Bloomberg reported Saturday night that another one of Pence's top aides, Marty Obst, had also tested positive for the virus."Today, Marc Short, Chief of Staff to the Vice President, tested positive for COVID-19, began quarantine and assisting in the contact tracing process," a statement from Pence press secretary Devin O'Malley read, according to Axios. "Vice President Pence and Mrs. Pence both tested negative for COVID-19 today, and remain in good health. While Vice President Pence is considered a close contact with Mr. Short, in consultation with the White House Medical Unit, the Vice President will maintain his schedule in accordance with the CDC guidelines for essential personnel."Short and Obst are just the latest high-ranking White House officials to contract COVID-19. Earlier this month, President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump and their son, Barron, all announced that they had contracted COVID-19. LOS ANGELES, Calif. (KGTV) -- Federal agents are in the process of seizing hundreds of guns from a home in a wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood, according to KABC. ATF agents could be seen laying out hundreds, possibly even thousands of guns in the Holmby Hills neighborhood near Sunset Boulevard and Beverly Glen. Many of the weapons appeared in a live video to be rifles. No details have so far been provided by ATF. The agency did say that it executed the search warrant as part of an ongoing investigation. Many Starbucks locations will close on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. local time to allow for employees to participate in racial-bias education. All Starbucks company-owned retail stores and corporate offices will be closed in the afternoon of Tuesday, May 29. Franchised locations are not participating in Tuesday's training. The training was announced last month after a store manager called police to forcibly remove two African-Americans for loitering. The incident drew criticism and calls for boycott against Starbucks.  "The company's founding values are based on humanity and inclusion," said executive chairman Howard Schultz, who joined Johnson and other senior Starbucks leaders in Philadelphia to meet with community leaders and Starbucks partners.
