Multiple people were injured Thursday when a school bus collided with a dump truck and flipped over in Mount Olive Township in Morris County, New Jersey, officials said.The Associated Press reports that one adult and one student were killed.Mount Olive Mayor Rob Greenbaum, who saw the aftermath of the highway crash from an overpass, described the scene as "horrific." He told HLN Thursday there were possible ejections in the crash.At least three hospitals have received patients from the accident, including two believed to be children, officials said.The bus was transporting students from East Brook Middle School in Paramus, New Jersey, according to a school official."Our hearts are broken by today's tragedy," Gov. Phil Murphy said in a Facebook post after arriving at the school.Jay Faltings, who drove past the scene about five minutes after the crash, told HLN he saw children being rescued from the wreckage.Faltings said the front of the dump truck appeared to have been sheared off and the school bus was "ripped off its frame" after hitting a guard rail and flipping over."It's like nothing you've ever seen before," he said.Faltings said first responders appeared to have removed the children from the scene."They were young kids," he said. "But luckily, first responders, everybody there helped get all the kids out safely from what we could see... (KGTV) -- Police are looking for a man who broke into a National City supermarket early Monday morning and took off with jewelry.At around 2 a.m., a witness called police to report a man breaking the front door glass of the Vallarta store on 901 Euclid Ave.Employees inside the store told officers that a man smashed his way inside, broke a jewelry kiosk and grabbed several items. The man then escaped out of the broken door.Officers spotted some jewelry lying on the ground, but they could not track down the thief. 547

(KGTV) — Nearly 50 years after 15 men lost their lives at Naval Air Station Miramar, one man recounted his memories hoping to keep their story alive.Monday, Dec. 22, 1969 was Darwin Ludi's first day back from Christmas vacation. He was on rotation at the Balboa Naval Hospital in the morgue as a Navy Corpsman.When he walked in that morning he described the horrifying sight, "there were body bags along the hallway and I was like, 'What is going on?" He said the initial shock stayed with him for months and to this day is his strongest memory."We did the autopsies over a couple of days and the smell just lingered," he said somberly.Photos from MCAS Miramar's archives capture the panic and pain. Around 10:30 a.m. one article says the pilot of an F-8 Crusader ejected after reporting low oil pressure and engine seizure. The damage initially tallied around million.Fifty years later he hopes telling their story will keep those who made the ultimate sacrifice from being forgotten, "as long as I'm around hopefully things like this come out, because it's important.
