(KGTV) - The spookiest time of the year at Disneyland isn’t always Halloween. In 2019, it comes in August, as the Haunted Mansion marks its 50th anniversary. Disney is honoring the milestone with “The Haunted Mansion: Celebrating 50 Years of Retirement Unliving.” The after-hours events will include special entertainment, character encounters, photo opportunities, themed food and drinks, unique merchandise, and what Disney describes as “a few supernatural surprises.” Event highlights include: *A 13th Hour Celebration kick-off along the Rivers of America. The “Swinging Wake” will feature Madame Leota of crystal ball fame conjuring the festivities. *Themed backdrops for photos with unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass pictures. *Limited-time Snapchat filters and event hashtags. *After-hours access to select attractions New Orleans Square, Critter Country, Frontierland and Adventureland. When they arrive at the border, they'll tell officials they're seeking asylum because of violence in their home countries.RELATED: Hundreds of migrants reach Tijuana, many plan to continue to San Diego borderAbout 300 migrants arrived in Tijuana on Tuesday and Wednesday. On Friday they met with lawyers to learn more about what happens if they come into the United States seeking asylum.President Trump instructed the secretary of homeland security not to let them in. (LEX 18) — A new poll released Tuesday shows Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has a sizable lead over his Democratic challenger in Kentucky's U.S. Senate race.The Morning Consult poll, which surveyed 793 likely voters, showed McConnell leads retired Marine Lt. Colonel Amy McGrath by 17 points, 53% to 36%.The poll found that if the 2020 election were held today, 84% of Republicans would vote for McConnell, and 79% of Democrats say they would vote for McGrath. A 53-foot trailer containing nearly 0,000 worth of ramen noodles that was in a Chevron store lot in Georgia has disappeared.WAGA-TV in Atlanta reports the trailer was secure when it was in the lot and that it went missing between July 25-Aug. 1.The theft is being investigated by officials in Fayette County, Georgia who say it is part of a string of thefts. That string includes multiple car break-ins and a stolen motorcycle, WAGA-TV reports.The local sheriff said the owner of the trailer filled with noodles — ,000 worth to be exact — had permission to park the trailer on the Chevron store property.Authorities have not identified possible suspects. 668

(KGTV) - San Diego County leaders say a massive church gathering on the sand at Cardiff State Beach Sunday violated the health mandate to prevent the spread of COVID-19.The event featured music, prayer, and people getting baptized in the ocean.Alisha Goodman is the mom of two teenagers. She also ministers to three other teens from broken homes. They all went to the event together."It turned out to be way more than I would have ever imagined, or expected it to be. I think everyone has just been so suppressed for the past few months. It was an opportunity for us to get out and worship and be together and feel that presence of God that we haven't really had an opportunity to do," said Goodman.Pictures on social media captured huge crowds with little social distancing and not a lot of people wearing face coverings.Goodman says she felt safe."I think everybody was being fair with each other and social distancing within their immediate families and friends group, but there was some hugging and people who hadn't seen each other in a long time, they haven't seen each other in 4 months," said Goodman.The event was organized by Sean Feucht. He's a member of Bethel Church in Redding, but the church was not involved with Sunday's gathering. He's held similar events across the country.10News tried reaching Feucht through his social media accounts, but we did not get a response.In response to media inquiries after the event in Redding, he issued a statement on his Facebook page saying in part, "Government leaders voiced support for outdoor protests in recent months, they should not be condemning Christians seeking to gather in worship. She was shocked at the size of the crowd and the lack of social distancing."We're working really hard, to keep employees safe and to keep businesses open.
