(KGTV) - A nine hour standoff in Bonita has finally come to an end.Deputies have taken 37-year-old James Gilbert, who was wanted for a domestic violence incident, into custody.He has been booked into San Diego Central Jail on charges of making threats with a weapon, making terrorist threats and resisting arrest.Gilbert refused to come out of the home for hours.A San Diego Sheriff's Department SWAT team brought in two BearCats, made multiple flyovers with a helicopter and even called in a bomb squad.Two blocks of Allen School lane were blocked off all day due to the incident.Witnesses say a man believed to be the suspects brother tried running past the Sheriff's tape, ignoring deputies who tried to stop him.That man was handcuffed and taken into custody.Nearby Ella B. Allen Elementary School and Daly Academy were put on heightened security in light of the crisis. Children left the campuses safely after school let out. BALTIMORE (KGTV) - A former television producer for “The Jerry Springer Show” was arrested in Maryland Thursday for the death of her sister in Los Angeles.Baltimore Police took Jill Blackstone into custody on suspicion of murder and animal cruelty at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Police did not reveal if Blackstone was a patient.According to Los Angeles Police, Blackstone put her sister Wendy, 49, and two dogs in a garage in Los Angeles and set the building on fire in March 2015. LAPD investigators said Blackstone wanted to make Wendy’s death look like an accident.Blackstone was motivated by the emotional and financial hardship of taking care of her sister, who was deaf and partially blind, investigators said.Baltimore Police said Blackstone will be sent back to Los Angeles to face charges.Blackstone worked as a producer on programs including “Family Court with Judge Penny”, the Daily News reported.The Associated Press contributed to this report. 962

His mother, Debbie Rucker, took to Facebook Monday with a plea: Take COVID-19 seriously, wear a mask and exercise social distancing.Feeney is battling the virus as questions remain on whether the college football season will be played this fall. The Big Ten announced it plans on playing a conference-only schedule this fall. With her son's permission, Rucker shared his story:My son was negative when he got tested at the beginning of volunteer workouts. Within three weeks he and multiple others tested positive. His university has done everything right by shutting down workouts and retesting the whole team.Unfortunately this virus hit my son very hard compared to most of his teammates. Here was a kid in perfect health, great physical condition and due to the virus ended up going to the ER because of breathing issues.After 14 days of hell battling the horrible virus, his school did additional testing on all those that were positive. My son even received extra tests because he was one of the worst cases. Now we are dealing with possible heart issues!He is still experiencing additional symptoms and his blood work is indicating additional problems. The changes are meant to encourage equitable representation and “better reflect the diversity of the movie-going audience,” according to the Academy.In order for a film to qualify to be a Best Picture nominee, they must meet two of four new representation and inclusion standards.
