(KGTV) — The 18-year-old girl who pushed her friend off a 60-foot bridge into a Washington state river has been charged with one count of reckless endangerment.Prosecutors filed the charge against Taylor Smith, saying the teen engaged in conduct which created a substantial risk of death and resulted in serious physical injury to Jordan Holgerson," according to ABC News.Reckless endangerment is a gross misdemeanor in Washington state and punishable by up to a year in jail and a maximum fine of ,000.Smith pushed Holgerson off the bridge over the Lewis River at Moulton Falls Regional Park near Vancouver, Wash., on Aug. 7.The fall left Holgerson, 16, with six broken ribs, a punctured lung, and air bubbles in her chest, officials said.Footage showing the fall was captured on cell phone video and soon went viral. A nearby surveillance camera also caught Smith pushing Holgerson over.The teens have given conflicting reports of what led up to the fall.Smith has told authorities that she was trying to help her Holgerson overcome the fear of jumping and that she didn't mean to cause harm. Holgerson, however, said she didn't want to be pushed off and she was trying to count down. 1216

(KGTV) — Texas Border Patrol agents found themselves caring for an 18-month-old child after her mother was taken to the hospital after crossing the border illegally.The infant was taken into Border Patrol's care on Tuesday after a pregnant Honduran woman traveling with the girl was caught crossing the border, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.The woman was experiencing abdominal pain and taken to Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center. While the mother received care, agents looked after the child at Uvalde Border Patrol Station until her mother was released.“I am proud of the agents and staff who continue to show great compassion during this humanitarian crisis on our southern border,” Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez said in a release. “However, our agents are continually pulled from their enforcement duties to watch over people at hospitals, and in this case a child while her mother was receiving care.”The mother was eventually allowed to leave from the hospital and reunited with her child, CBP said. (KGTV) — Starting Monday, Southern California residents can take advantage of a limited time discount on tickets to the Happiest Place on Earth.Disneyland's Southern California Resident Ticket offers locals a three-day, one-park ticket for 9 and a three-day, Park Hopper ticket for 4. For comparison, tickets for ages 10 and up can cost as much as 5 for a one-day, one-park ticket and 5 for a one-day, Park Hopper ticket on peak days.
