Right now, more people than ever are 401k millionaires.Financial adviser Jonathan Duong says saving million is not as impossible as it may seem."A million dollars is very achievable for folks who aren't necessarily making really large six-figure incomes," Duong says.   The average 401k millionaire has been contributing to their retirement fund for over 30 years, according to MarketWatch.  So, how do you get to million in your 401k? Duong says there are a few easy ways.   First, defer over 10 percent of your paycheck to your 401k. Fidelity Investments says it might seem like a lot, but in the end, it should leave you with an annual income that you're use to once you retire.   Next, take advantage of your employer match."A match is free money," Duong says.   MarketWatch found 28 percent of the contributions to the average 401k millionaire's account came from their employer.   "Additional things you can do is working a little bit longer and delaying social security," suggests Duong.   Delaying Social Security until you’re in your 70's will allow you to get more money opposed to taking it sooner.   “It’s fairly good to say that if you've got 25 to 30 times your annual living expenses saved up, you might be in a position to retire, but there are a lot of other details that go into it," Duong explains.   There's no rule of thumb for how much everyone should save, Duong says. With election day looming, the candidates vying to replace Duncan Hunter in East County's 50th Congressional District say they are leaving no stone uncovered.The race is pitting Republican Darrell Issa against Democrat Ammar Campa-Najjar. The two want to fill the seat Hunter vacated in January, when he resigned after pleading guilty to one felony campaign fraud charge. Campa-Najjar narrowly lost to a then-indicted Hunter in 2018 and is running again in 2020."The whole district, we're just going to be traveling across town, meeting people at local diners and saying 'hey, I'm here for you,'" Campa-Najjar said Monday. Issa represented coastal North County's 49th for nearly two decades. In 2018, he decided not to run for re-election as that district shifted blue. This year, however, Issa launched a campaign for the seat in the 50th after Hunter resigned. The district comprises much of East County, and stretches into south Riverside County. It is the only district in San Diego County in which Republicans outnumber Democrats. Issa said his campaign made 10,000 calls Sunday and knocked on more than 1,500 doors. He said if he is elected to Congress, he'd use his experience to help move the country forward. "Many of my Republican and Democratic friends are coming back after two years of very little progress and a lot of hostility," he said. "I'm hoping to get past that with people I have a working relationship with and get some things done."After months of polling showing the two neck-and-neck, an Oct. 27 ABC-10 Union-Tribune poll showed Issa with an 11 point lead over Campa-Najjar. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- Two specially modified shotguns and ammunition were stolen from Palm Beach Zoo in the hours between late Wednesday and early Thursday.Head of Communications & Public Relations for Palm Beach Zoo, Naki Carter, says someone broke into the zoo and pried open a gun safe that stored the weapons.The shotguns were used by the zoo's "critical response team" in cases of emergency.The zoo is offering a ,000 reward for the return of the weapons.When asked if this was thought to be an "inside job", Carter had no comment.If the perpetrator(s) is caught with the weapons, which require a federal permit, they could face 10 years in prison and a fine.Carter says Palm Beach Zoo has increased security measures since the theft, but will not go into detail as to what those measures entail. 828
