A Long Island woman is showing off the unlimited potential of a tiny home she’s created out of a school bus.Some people call it a magic bus, but Catherine Ovejas likes to call it “apartment 84,” named after her children, who are eight and four.It’s a 30-foot-long, 50-seat school bus that she gutted and turned into a tiny home that sleeps up to four people.“We have here what can be a sitting area, but also a sleeping area,” Ovejas said.She bought the used bus, and with a little outside help she spent six months converting it.It’s about three feet from the sleeping area to the kitchen.“We wanted it to be as self-sustaining as possible, so there is a 55-gallon water tank secured under the bus,” she explained. 728

A hospice patient in Kentucky arrived at his son's season opener football game in style. His hospice nurse arranged for a plane to fly them to Belfry High School after realizing it would have been too dangerous in his condition to drive.For Scott Sullivan, being able to watch his son, Cade, play one more time under the Friday night lights was a once in a lifetime opportunity."I got out of a couple of hospitals and realized I had a really rapid form of cancer that left me really not many places to turn," Scott said.Since he got home, Jerree Humphrey, a nurse at Hospice of Lake Cumberland, has been taking care of Scott. Over the past few weeks, the pair have bonded over their kids. "He was asking me if I felt like he could go to Belfry. I was like, 'I don't know,' I mean seven or eight hours in the car, between here and there, and then back," Humphrey said.Driving being out of the question, Humphrey knew she had to do something. "One of our hospice mottos is you might not be able to change the outcome, but you can affect the journey," Humphrey said.So, Humphrey found someone to fly them down to Belfry High School to watch Cade play in Pulaski County High School's season opener."Him being there, it might be the last game he will ever watch me play in, and it meant a lot to me. I played my heart out; I played as hard as I possibly could," Cade said.The whole game, Scott was in the stands cheering on his son. Cade ran over and hugged him."My son and I, we made an agreement. If it's going to happen, we are going to make it. A former waitress who stole money from a Mexican restaurant in Tucson more than 20 years ago is trying to make things right, KTAR reports.She sent a letter to El Charro Café along with ,000 in cash last weekend. She wrote that she had worked there in the 1990s and had stolen money from the restaurant.“One of the waiters I worked with had encouraged me to ‘forget’ to ring in a few drinks a shift and pocket the cash. A major crackdown could be coming to stop those annoying robocalls. New research from YouMail--a company that developed robocall blocking software--shows each person on the country receives about 150 robocalls a year.Alex Quilici, CEO of YouMail, says these terribly annoying calls keep increasing for two reasons. "One is there are more and more scam calls. The second thing that's driving the increase is people aren't answering the phone anymore," Quilici says.Because people don’t answer their phones, it makes the robocallers place more calls, he says.It’s a problem both Democrats and Republicans can agree on.  Senators John Thune, R-South Dakota, and Ed Markey, D-Massachusetts, have proposed bipartisan legislation to increase the penalties for robocalls to ,000. They are also proposing to extend the time after a crime in which prosecutors must bring their case from one years to three years.Commercial robocalls are illegal, but the Federal Trade Commission, which is tasked with investigating and charging those who have violated the anti-Robocall federal law, has a hard time prosecuting offenders within the current one-year time limit. “If you look at the current enforcement efforts, there's been a 0 million fine and million fine that's covered people who've made 100 million robocalls or a couple hundred million robocalls.
