In this Kenosha church, diversity in race and viewpoints are welcome in finding a path beyond the heartbreak."We don’t like destruction of property, but we understand and appreciate the pain that it comes from," Carlson said. (AP) — Authorities say a U.S. Army special forces sergeant based in Florida has been charged in the deaths of three people and the wounding of three more in an apparently random shooting at an Illinois bowling alley. The East County neighborhoods of Crest and Guatay were among the 35 communities considered to be in urgent need of attention in a list released by Cal Fire. Both communities have community fuel breaks that need to be cleared, a Cal Fire report showed. The Guatay fuel break covers 128 acres over 15 communities, affecting 221,282 people. The Crest fuel break covers 60 acres over 3 communities and affects 5,278 people, according to the survey. ROCHESTER, N.Y. — New York Attorney General Letitia James is promising to expedite the release of body camera footage in cases of alleged police misconduct that her office investigates. James spoke Sunday in Rochester, which has been in turmoil since the footage of Daniel Prude’s fatal encounter with police was released more than five months after his death. (AP) — California's attorney general is accusing a car dealership of false advertising and lying on loan documents to boost the company's profits at the expense of its mostly low-income customers.Attorney General Xavier Becerra sued Paul Blanco's Good Car Company on Monday.Becerra said the company's prolific TV and radio ads would boast about 2% interest rates and approving people for loans over the phone. But Becerra said those were lies designed to lure customers to the dealership. Once people came, Becerra said the company would then lie about their incomes and the value of the vehicles to convince lenders to approve the loans.Representatives from the dealership did not respond to a request for comment.
