Most Americans are planning a scaled back event.But 75% of people told Butterball they plan to have a turkey the same size this year, as last year.“If you're looking for a smaller turkey, I would recommend shopping early to get what you want,” said Andrea Balitewicz, Butterball Turkey Talk-Line Supervisor.While many people are looking for some normalcy this Thanksgiving, 30% are hosting immediate family only.Butterball says there will also be more first-time hosts.“But there's also other products available like our turkey breast roasts, which are perfect for just a couple of people, or you can find the bone in turkey breast and that's a really great product too, and it's some for about six to seven people. So, it's a great product for smaller celebrations.”Butterball is planning the same offerings as usual. About half its turkeys will be in the 10-16 pound range. The other half in the 16-24 pound range.Walmart says it will have 30% more turkey breasts for those that don't want to cook a whole bird, even though they will have plenty of those.Kroger bought more turkeys than usual. The Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) has confirmed that a soldier who was wanted in connection with the disappearance with Pfc. Vanessa Guillen shot and killed himself during an interaction with police Wednesday morning.In their statement, CID also confirmed that a civilian suspect had been taken into custody by the Texas Rangers in connection with Guillen's disappearance. The civilian, an estranged wife of a former Fort Hood soldier, is currently being held in the Bell County jail.The Army did not identify either suspect in their statement.The announcement came as Guillen's family delivered a powerful press conference in Washington, calling on Congress to investigate her disappearance and sexual harassment in the military.During that press conference, the family said they believe that remains that were found in Texas on Tuesday were Guillen's.Family members also said her superior officers sexually harassed Guillen before her disappearance. They said that before her disappearance, Guillen told family members and other soldiers that she was being harassed by her superiors. However, she did not report the abuse to her superior officers because she feared retribution.Guillen's sister gave an impassioned speech in which she accused Army officials of "lying to her face" throughout the investigation into Guillen's disappearance.Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, appeared at the press conference along with the family and echoed calls for a Congressional investigation."We need to know why she did not get the help when she needed it," Gabbard said.Guillen, 20, was last seen around 11:30 am in the Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters' parking lot at Fort Hood on April 22.It wasn't until late June that the Army said it suspected foul play in connection with Guillen's death. TAMPA, Fla. -- The fight against COVID-19 is taking off in a new direction: it’s headed for the friendly skies.“We wanted to be able to instill confidence in the traveling public that, in fact, it is safe to travel,” said John Tiliacos, vice president of airport operations and customer service at Tampa International Airport.Tucked away in a corner of the main terminal at the airport sits a coronavirus testing center. This month, Tampa’s airport became the first in the country to offer two types of COVID-19 tests to the flying public. The tests are administered by medical personnel from BayCare Health System.“There's a lot of people who are asymptomatic carriers and we don't want to invariably go and expose a loved one or a family member,” said Dr. Nishant Anand, Chief Medical Officer for BayCare Health System.While the tests are required for people traveling to certain international destinations, it can also benefit people traveling within the U.S., by helping them avoid a 14-day quarantine in certain states, if they test negative for the virus.“Me and three other girlfriends are going on the girl's trip,” said Aneesah Rashad, who is celebrating her birthday with a vacation.Rashad is heading to Puerto Rico and needed a COVID test to do so.“It's required in order for you to go to enter into San Juan within 72 hours prior to your travel day,” Rashad said. “I've been tested several times, just to make sure, because I do care about my health and it's important to me.”The two tests offered include the , rapid coronavirus antigen test, which offers test results in 15 minutes. There is also the more accurate, 5 PCR test – which uses a nasal swab – with results within two days. Both tests are covered by most insurance.“Heaven forbid, if someone does test positive, we tell them to go home and quarantine,” Dr. Anand said. “We tell them what the results are.
