A limousine carrying several couples to a birthday party failed to stop at an intersection in upstate New York and struck a parked vehicle, killing 20 people in the deadliest transportation accident in the United States in nearly a decade, according to authorities and a family member.The 2001 Ford Excursion limo was traveling southwest on State Route 30 when it didn't stop at the intersection with State Route 30 A and collided with an SUV in a parking lot shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday in Schoharie, New York State Police First Deputy Superintendent Chris Fiore said.All 18 people in the limo were killed, including the driver, Fiore said Sunday. A high-profile church pastor was charged with sexually assaulting two young sisters while he was in Murfreesboro, Tennessee for a religious conference.Florida pastor David Rowan was arrested there Tuesday. He's was indicted on rape, unlawful sexual contact and sexual battery by an authority figure.The arrest stemmed from an alleged incident here in Middle Tennessee back in 2014. Rowan was a guest speaker at a religious convention in Murfreesboro.Sex crimes detectives said he convinced the parents of two girls to let him take them to lunch. The family was seeking spiritual guidance from Rowan and trusted him.Police said he brought the 14 and 15-year-old sisters to a local hotel where he took advantage of the situation and molested them.Rowan is a well-known pastor in Milton, Florida, not far from Pensacola. He was held in the Santa Rosa County Jail before being brought back to Tennessee in the next two weeks to face charges.Scripps station WTVF in Nashville reached out to Faith Baptist Church in Florida. The staff there declined to comment.  1119

A federal judge in San Diego on Friday called the Trump administration's plan outlining how the US government intends to reunite migrant children who were separated from their families with parents who have been deported "very impressive."US officials will first work to determine parentage and resolve any safety concerns for the child and then seek to reunite families.
