They're the right size for hands, you can throw them very hard and they will create or cause pain, which can distract," Helsel told CNN affiliate WNEP.But they only see it as a last resort."We've learned many things from these tragedies over the years," Helsel said. "One of them is that evacuating makes students the safest."And if students can't leave the building, they'll have their stones."We understand that a gun is much more deadly than a stone. TechCrunch reports the video promoting a guaranteed COVID-19 cure has been removed from YouTube.If OANN suffers a third strike within 90 days of the first, the network will lose its YouTube channel permanently.Since Election Day, Trump has prompted both OANN and Newsmax TV — both of which have continuously questioned the results of the election and peddled misinformation about voter fraud. A massive outage has wiped out power to Puerto Rico's capital San Juan.The problem is with a failure on a main north-south transmission line, said Fernando Padilla, an official with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, known as PREPA."It was a mechanical issue on the line, could have happened at any line," he said. A recent string of extremist attacks highlights an alarming trend: a growing number of hate crimes across the country.In fact, it’s up for the fourth year in a row in most major cities, according to Brian Levin, who studies hate crimes. Levin says one possible reason for the most recent spike of attacks is the midterm elections.“We're a very polarized society,” says Levin, who works at the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism. “We're not only divided, but we're entrenched in that division.”Experts say hotly contested political races can cause a jump in hate crimes. It happened around the 2016 presidential election.“November of that year was the worst month of 14 years, going back to the first anniversary of 9/11,” Levin says.Just this week, attorneys for three men accused of planning to bomb a mosque the day after Donald Trump became president say his rhetoric during the campaign inspired the men.Now that he's president, others worry his words could motivate others.At a recent rally, President Trump stated, “You know what?
