There’s a new resource for parents who’ve found themselves struggling to teach their children while maintaining a job.“We're stepping into this role that we have no experience,” said Amy Lundy, co-founder of The Learning Match. “And as far as education is concerned, they're teaching subjects in a way that we didn't even learn them as children.”Lundy found herself trying to juggle schooling three children from home and keeping her business running through the pandemic. It connects people studying education or retired teachers, really anyone with an educational background, to families that need help.The educator may just be there for accountability to make sure the child is doing and understanding assignments. Or they could play a more involved role.“And then there's more sort of part-time or full-time experiences where this person is coming inside your home or is on the computer several hours a day, or all day with your child, fulfilling those requirements that you have based on what your child's grade is,” said Lundy.Its free to sign up on The Learning Match. We need to feel encouraged and uplifted, this is essential to the human spirit,” Eiseman added.This is the first time a shade of gray has been selected. Next year will be the second time two colors will share the spotlight, the first time was in 2016.Pantone has been selecting a Color of the Year for the last 22 years. TIJUANA, Mexico. (KGTV and AP) -- At least three people were killed in wind-driven fires that scorched a large swath of Baja, California last week, the Associated Press reports. Last Friday, Mexico’s civil defense told AP the fires forced more than 1,600 people to evacuate their homes. The fires burned near Tecate, Tijuana and between the coastal towns of Rosarito and Ensenada. The fire near Tecate burned more than 35,000 acres, according to AP. Schools were also shut down in Tijuana, Tecate and Rosarito due to heavy smoke in the area. Mexican officials told CNN the fire tore through 125 homes, 30 of which are in the city of Tijuana.
