SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Southern California home sales are seeing a significant drop, according to a new report by CoreLogic. In San Diego County, home sales are down more than eight percent year-over-year. Despite a dip in sales, home prices rose 2.6 percent from February of 2018 to February of 2019.The median home price in February was 9,000, CoreLogic reports. The report points out that total SoCal home sales in February were the lowest since February of 2008, when only 10,777 homes were sold. According to the report, sales have fallen on a year-over-year basis for the last seven consecutive months. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police searched Tuesday for the man who may have groped several women in the South Bay.The most recent encounter happened Sunday at 7:30 p.m. as the woman was walking on Iris Ave. and Oro Vista Rd. in Nestor, police said.A man walking the opposite direction grabbed the woman’s breast, then ran away.The woman wasn’t hurt and told police the man didn’t appear to have a weapon.Police said the man was Hispanic, in his early 20’s, 5’6” tall with a heavy build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, black athletic shorts, and black shoes.The man may be responsible for two similar attacks in the same area, said officers.The first incident happened October 30 at 7:30 pm. and the second was January 17 at 9:30 p.m., both on Oro Vista Rd. near the I-5 and 905 interchange.Anyone with information is asked to call the San Diego Police Department at 619-531-2000. 916

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego politicians are rallying for businesses affected by the county's move to the purple most restrictive tier.Coronado Mayor Richard Bailey said the purple tier is taking a toll, hurting businesses that can't withstand another months-long closure.He said it could make or break them and their employees, "many of their employees have been let go now their second or third time as of yesterday and it's really heartbreaking to hear their stories."Bailey said he voiced his concerns on Instagram after learning Public Health Officer Dr. Wilma Wooten filed an adjudication request that stated, "San Diego's increased cases are not due to the sectors impacted by moving into a more restrictive tier." The most recent information from the county shows work is the location with the highest transmission rate at 30%. Businesses like restaurants and gyms that are affected by the purple tier restrictions make up about 20% of exposures altogether."So if these businesses are not actually contributing to the spread of COVID based on information from the County Health Officer then why would we be shutting them down in the first place?" SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — SeaWorld's newest roller coaster is set to open just in time for the summer.The park's Tidal Twister roller coast will welcome its first riders on May 24, after breaking ground just last October. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police released a photo Friday of a suspect wanted in the death of a woman in Point Loma.Joe Bennette Conway, 41, shot the unidentified woman in the parking lot of 4013 W. Point Loma Blvd. late on the night of October 9, police said.911 dispatchers received a call about the shooting. Police units found a woman with a gunshot wound to her upper body. Paramedics transported the woman to the hospital, where she died.Police identified Conway as the murder suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest. Conway is 5’7” tall and 150 pounds.
