A new company says it can sell your home faster and save you thousands of dollars in commission using the latest technology.After 26 years Susan Beach and her husband decided to put their home on the market using a new real estate agency called REX. Susan says within hours of signing with REX, they already had potential buyers wanting to see their home.“We got a text that a showing appointment has been scheduled," Beach said. "They give you choices of what time, and you pick one and it was like 'wow.'" Just like local real estate agents, REX agents post your home on places like Zillow and Trulia. Co-Founder of REX Jack Ryan said the company uses specific technology to pinpoint the perfect buyer and market your home to them through targeted ads.“The difference is we can find the buyers because we make predictions about who the buyer might be for your home then drop ads on them,” said Ryan.They work with companies like Crate and Barrel and Best Buy to research what potential buyers are shopping for or are interested in and tweak their ads accordingly.“I know people think it’s too good to be true but that’s the miracle of technology today, which is you can target people exactly based upon their behaviors and people think is relevant ads,” said Ryan.Not only do they claim to sell your home faster, Ryan said REX can save thousands of dollars in commissions. “We do everything a real estate agent would do but we do it for 2 percent not 6 percent or 5, 6 percent which can mean ,000 or ,000 to a person,” said Ryan.Susan said what she saved will go toward their retirement.Rex isn’t the only company offering this type of service. (KGTV) — Santee voters this November will weigh in on two measures that deal with limits on serving as a City Council member or as Mayor.Measure Q and R each intend to address term limits on City Council and Mayoral positions in the city of Santee, however, they each take a different approach to limit how long someone can serve.The text of Measure Q reads as follows:City of Santee - Measure Q: "Shall the measure amending the Santee Municipal Code to require that no person shall serve as an 'Elected Official,' defined to include the offices of Mayor and Member of the City Council, for more than twelve years, or three terms, whichever is less, with any portion of term, whether by election or appointment, counting as a full term, be adopted?"Measure Q would not allow anyone to serve as either Mayor or a City Council member, or any combination of those positions, for more than 12 years, or three four-year terms, with any portion of a term counting as a full term.The competing measure, Measure R, reads as follows:City of Santee - Measure R: "Shall an ordinance amending the Santee Municipal Code to establish a three-term lifetime limit on City Council service and a separate two-term lifetime limit on Mayoral service, be adopted?"In other words, no one can serve as Mayor for more than two, four-year terms and, separately and in addition, as a City Council member for three, four-year terms, regardless of the district a person represented. SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (AP) — Gov. Gavin Newsom says California is turning the corner in its fight against the coronavirus pandemic. He cited a significantly lower number of confirmed new cases as California begins to clear backlogged cases caused by a technical error. Newsom says he's also encouraged by the downward trend in hospitalizations, which have fallen 21% in the past two weeks. Dr. Roger Lewis, director with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, says there’s been “a clear decline” in hospitalizations there. SAN YSIDRO, Calif. SAN MARCOS (KGTV) - The Department of Defense has released the name of the soldier who died at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, on Friday.U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Conrad A.
