Gabriella’s pink jacket has been found several hundred yards south east of where she went missing. That means she’ll be in the gray shirt. Thanks to neighbors who are on the lookout...call dispatch with info. If you find clothing, please don’t touch (to keep your scent off).— @MSPNorthernMI (@mspnorthernmi) 324

Four major pro sports leagues in America, which are all currently holding preseason or regular season contests, jointly announced on Monday that locker room access will be cut to anyone deemed "non-essential," which includes reporters. The decision to curtail access to journalists to the locker rooms will be effective on Tuesday. With health officials encouraging the public to engage in social distancing, the leagues said it was necessary to protect the health of players, team officials and the media. But the announcement garnered a concerned response from professional sports writers, who say that locker room access is vital to sports reporting. The leaders of the AP Sports Editors, the Baseball Writers of America Association and other sports journalism organizations issued a statement on Monday."We are intent on working with the leagues, teams and schools we cover to maintain safe work environments," the statement read. "We also must ensure the locker room access — which we have negotiated over decades — to players, coaches and staff is not unnecessarily limited in either the short or long term. We look forward to open communication with the leagues as, together, we deal with this serious health matter."The decision also comes as the NHL and NBA prepare for the end of the regular season and start of the postseason. The MLS just kicked off its season last week, and MLB will get underway with its regular season later this month. "After consultation with infectious disease and public health experts, and given the issues that can be associated with close contact in pre- and post-game settings, all team locker rooms and clubhouses will be open only to players and essential employees of teams and team facilities until further notice," the leagues' joint statement read. "Media access will be maintained in designated locations outside of the locker room and clubhouse setting. These changes will be effective beginning with tomorrow's games and practices." 1992

Forgetting to keep your Christmas tree watered could have deadly consequences, according to the National Fire Protection Association. According to the NFPA, nearly 160 house fires per year are sparked by Christmas trees. These fires caused an average of three deaths, 15 injuries, and million in direct property damage annually, the NFPA said. A plurality of Christmas tree fires from 2013 through 2017, roughly 44 percent, were caused by electrical distribution or lighting within the tree. Another 25 percent of Christmas tree fires were from a heat source, such as a candle, being too close to a tree. The NFPA also found that 21 percent of Christmas tree fires were intentionally set. In 2017, the National Institute of Science and Technology released a video showing the fire danger a tree not watered can pose. The video showed that a spark to a dry tree could ignite an entire tree within several seconds, engulfing an entire room seconds later. A watered tree failed to ignite in the same fashion. Although buying an artificial tree likely decreases the risk of a fire, for every three fires sparked by a real Christmas tree, one is caused by an artificial tree. The National Fire Protection Association released Christmas tree fire prevention tips:· Choose a tree with fresh, green needles that do not fall off when touched.· Before placing the tree in the stand, cut 2” from the base of the trunk.· Make sure the tree is at least three feet away from any heat source, like fireplaces, radiators, candles, heat vents or lights.· Make sure the tree is not blocking an exit.· Add water to the tree stand. Be sure to add water daily.· Use lights that have the label of a recognized testing laboratory. Some lights are only for indoor or outdoor use.· Replace any string of lights with worn or broken cords or loose bulb connections. Read manufacturer’s instructions for number of light strands to connect.· Never use lit candles to decorate the tree.· Always turn off Christmas tree lights before leaving home or going to bed. 2047

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — The female volunteer at the Humane Society of St. Lucie County, Florida, who was found dead inside a fenced play area next to the shelter Thursday died of severe blood loss due to dog bites, according to the St. Lucie County Medical Examiner's Office. It ruled the death accidental. The Human Society of St. Lucie County has identified the woman as Christine Liquori."The dogs here have lost a dear dear friend and we’ve lost a dear dear friend and wonderful volunteer. Whatever needs to be done for those dogs, Christine was there for it whether it was walking them, bathing them, playing with them, loving on them, taking their picture," Humane Society of St. Lucie County Executive Director David Robertson said Friday before the medical examiner revealed its results. He said a mixed-breed dog was with Liquori at the time and had no prior issues. The dog had been at the shelter for about 8 days prior to the incident. "The dogs and all of us here are really going to miss her and we want to extend our deepest and sincerest sympathies to all of her families," Robertson said. The dog was set to be euthanized Friday.Liquori was a member of Paws Fur Recovery, a non-profit organization made up of people in recovery that volunteer to find homes for dogs in shelters. You could say Liquori saved dogs every day because they saved her.“She’s just coming up on what would have been, coming up 6 years clean and sober on May 23rd,” said Lori Boettger, President of Paws Fur Recovery. Shortly after starting her journey to recovery from addiction, Liquori joined Paws Fur Recovery. “She loved loved loved what she did and she died doing what she loved,” said Boettger. Robertson said Liquori was in the fenced play area with a dog alone on Thursday. It’s not clear why there was no one else with her. He said she was found dead. Another volunteer for Paws Fur Recovery and close friend of Liquori’s said she started her journey to recovery from addiction with Liquori 6 years ago and got involved with Paws Fur Recovery because of Liquori. “I feel like this is an isolated issue. It’s not something we’ve encountered so you know it’s sad. I will continue to be going out to the shelter to help these dogs because I’ve had a second chance and they deserve one too,” said Sandy Robieous, Paws Fur Recovery volunteer.
