A Southwest Airlines flight with 117 people aboard slid off a runway on Thursday at California's Hollywood Burbank Airport during heavy rain, the Federal Aviation Administration said.There were no injuries reported, FAA spokesman Ian Gregor said.Flight 278, a Boeing 737-700 that originated in Oakland, California, came to a stop after running through an area of crushable material designed to bring an airplane to a halt, he said.The airport is open, and all airlines are operational, the airport tweeted. A tourist was stabbed while playing slots Monday at the Golden Nugget in downtown Las Vegas.It happened shortly after 1 a.m. A man, who was visiting from another country with his brother, was approached by another man who asked him for a cigarette.The man then stabbed the tourist in his side with warning or provocation.The victim's brother chased the suspect but was unable to catch him.The suspect was later spotted by security guards at Four Queens. They called 911. A patrol unit then spotted the suspect near Fremont Street and Maryland Parkway and arrested him.The victim was transported to a local hospital and expected to be discharged later today, according to Watch Commander Lt. A man was arrested on a DUI charge last week in Port St. Lucie, Florida after police spotted him riding a lawn mower, carrying a case of beer and driving erratically on an access road.An officer spotted 56-year-old Kenneth Burton Alleshouse on Nov. 3 at about 6:15 p.m.The officer stopped Alleshouse driving the lawn mower and could smell a strong odor of alcohol emitting from him.The officer conducted a DUI investigation and police say Alleshouse's blood alcohol level was three times over the legal limit. 532

A teenage worker at a Chili's restaurant in Baton Rouge says she was attacked by a large group of women while trying to enforce COVID-19 restaurant guidelines.According to WAFB, 17-year-old Kelsy Wallace was working her hostess position at the Chili's on Constitution Avenue when she was attacked by a group of 11 or more women on Sunday, August 9.The women had apparently become irate after requesting to be sat together. Wallace said that restaurant policy only allows for groups of up to six to sit together.Wallace tells WAFB that she got the manager to deal with the women when an exchange of words between Wallace and the women led to an altercation.One woman, according to Wallace, took a wet floor sign and struck her near her eye.Officers were called to the scene but the women had left by the time they arrived.Wallace was taken to the hospital to get stitches for her eye. During the altercation, some of her hair was pulled out and nails broke.
