Yvonne Staples, one of the four members of the famed gospel and R&B group the Staples Singers, died on Tuesday at the age of 80, a family spokesperson confirmed to NPR. A cause of death has not been announced. The Staples Singers had several No. 1 hits in the 1970s, including "I'll Take You There" and "Let's Do It Again." The group comprised of Yvonne Staples, and sisters Mavis and Cleotha and brother Pervis. The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999. "In humans, we would say that it enhances a sense of agency or self-efficacy."What have rats got to do with human health?The brains of humans and rats share nearly all of the same areas and neurochemicals -- they're just smaller in rodents. And though humans are certainly more complex than rats, Lambert said there are "universal truths" in how both species' brains interact within their environment to maintain optimal mental health.So these results have implications for human health, too (and no, they don't mean rats will drive alongside people in tiny lanes on highways).
