SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — The San Diego County Fair won't be held in the traditional fashion amid the coronavirus pandemic, but there will still be a way for fans to get their fair fun.The Del Mar Fairgrounds has already started to host food vendors on Fridays and Saturdays in June from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can grab corn dogs, kettle corn, and more from Roxy's, Copper Kettle, California Corn Dog Company, or Snax Shack Funnel Cake.A full menu of fair foods can be found online here.RELATED:Vendors offer drive-thru orders at Del Mar Fairgrounds to stay afloat amid pandemicWithout big events, Del Mar Fairgrounds says it needs M to surviveA big part of the summer fair is also the exhibits featuring works by local students, artists, and others. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- The Port of San Diego is kicking off another season of Waterfront Summer service.The service, which is now in its seventh season, provides transportation along the waterfront for per day.The shuttle, provided by the Port, will connect visitors and residents to businesses and attractions along the waterfront.According to the Port, the shuttle runs on a loop every 20 minutes from the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina on Harbor Island to Harbor Drive Bridge with several stops in between.The shuttle will run every day from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. during the summer season. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - The U.S. Attorney's Office of Southern California announced charges Friday against a man in the death of a Camp Pendleton Marine who had an overdose in his barracks.The unidentified Corporal was found unresponsive on the floor near his computer chair on January 29, 2017. He was wearing headphones and appeared to have been playing video games, investigators said.An autopsy determined the Marine died of fentanyl toxicity. A pill found on the headboard near a powdery substance and a rolled-up dollar bill tested positive for fentanyl.A complaint unsealed Friday detailed drug charges against 25-year-old Kyle Shephard of San Marcos.Investigators said Shephard met the victim in November 2016 and sold him fentanyl and other drugs multiple times over three months.Shepard acknowledged the pills could lead to an overdose, according to the complaint.In December, Shephard was arrested and charged with possessing for distribution roughly 2,000 fentanyl pills.“What a senseless tragedy that another young life has been lost because of fentanyl,” said U.S. Attorney Adam Braverman. “This Marine was serving his country and had his whole life ahead of him. We are going to hold dealers accountable for the deaths that result from their reckless disregard for human life.”Shephard will be in court March 6 for a detention hearing.  1369
