SAN DIEGO (CNS) - SDCCU Stadium in Mission Valley was added to the 30th annual list of the top 10 endangered landmarks and cultural landscapes in San Diego released Tuesday by the Save Our Heritage Organisation.SOHO called the facility -- known until recently as Qualcomm Stadium -- "one of the few mid-century designed, multi-purpose stadiums" to remain standing in the United States."Innovative design features include the pre-cast concrete, pre-wired light towers and spiral concrete pedestrian ramps," according to SOHO. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - The local U.S. Attorney's Office announced Monday that one of its prosecutors will oversee efforts to handle complaints of voting rights abuses and election fraud in the Southern District of California, which includes San Diego County.Assistant U. S. Attorney Christopher P. Tenorio has been appointed to serve as the District Election Officer for the region. Tenorio will oversee local reports of potential election fraud and voting rights violations through Election Day, in consultation with Justice Department headquarters in Washington, D.C."Every citizen must be able to vote without interference or discrimination," U.S. Attorney Robert Brewer said. "The Department of Justice is committed to protecting the integrity of the election process, stopping fraud, and making sure votes are not stolen."Tenorio will be on duty when the polls are open, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office, and members of the public can reach him by calling 619-909-7556.Additionally, the FBI will have special agents and an Election Crimes Coordinator available in field offices throughout the country to hear reports of potential fraud and other crimes related to the election. SAN DIEGO (CNS) -- San Diego Comic-Con announced its “Comic-Con@Home” event will take place on the originally scheduled dates, July 22-26, and the event will be entirely free.After canceling its in-person events at the San Diego Convention Center in April due to “circumstances involving the COVID-19 pandemic and California’s restrictions against large gatherings,” Comic-Con had teased about home events for weeks, finally revealing this week some sense of what that will entail."For the first time in our 50-year history, we are happy to welcome virtually anyone from around the globe," said SDCC spokesperson David Glanzer.
