SAN DIEGO — Business owners across San Diego County are readying to push back against a potential new round of Coronavirus restrictions.The county could reach the state’s most restrictive purple tier on Tuesday, meaning restaurants, gyms, nail salons and estheticians would all have to stop indoor service.Business owners are now calling this a fight for survival.“We’ve been in the red since March, so the bleeding’s got to stop somewhere,” said Ben Clevenger, who owns Lakeside’s Eastbound Bar and Grill.Clevenger has reduced his staff from 45 to about 15, and he’s now taking shifts running food and cooking in the kitchen. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 12-year-old girl suffered a broken arm and leg when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing a San Diego street, authorities said.It was reported at 10:48 p.m. Saturday in the 10600 block of Tierrasanta Boulevard, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.The girl was crossing the street in a crosswalk but against a red pedestrian crossing signal, Heims said.``An unknown vehicle was westbound on Tierrasanta Boulevard and struck the pedestrian,'' he said. The vehicle fled the scene.Paramedics took the girl to a hospital for treatment of a broken left humerus and broken left femur, which were not life-threatening injuries, Heims said. 671

SAN DIEGO (AP) — A Navy SEAL charged with killing a captive teenage militant in his care had told fellow troops that if they encountered a wounded enemy, he wanted medics to know how "to nurse him to death," a former comrade testified Wednesday.When a radio call announced an Islamic State prisoner was wounded on May 3, 2017, Special Operations Chief Edward Gallagher replied: "Don't touch him, he's all mine," Dylan Dille told jurors in a military courtroom.When Iraqi forces delivered the captive to a SEAL compound in Mosul, he was on the hood of a Humvee and fading in an out of consciousness with only a minor leg wound visible.Dille said he was not the grizzled warrior he expected."He looked about 12 years old," Dille said. "He had a wrist watch around his bicep. SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A 41-year-old man was jailed Thursday morning on suspicion of seriously injuring his roommate during a fight at a College Area home, police said.It happened shortly before 10:15 p.m. Wednesday at a home on College Avenue near Pontiac Street, San Diego police Officer John Buttle said.The 41-year-old man and his 42-year-old male roommate got into an argument for unknown reasons and the argument turned violent, Buttle said.During the fight, the younger roommate punched the 42-year-old man several times in the head, the officer said.Officers responded to the home and took the 41-year-old man, whose name was not immediately available, into custody without incident, Buttle said.The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening, he said. 829
