PHOENIX, Ariz. -- Officials have made an arrest in the cold case of Alissa Turney, a 17-year-old girl who went missing in Arizona in 2001.The Maricopa County Attorney's Office announced second-degree murder charges against Alissa's stepfather, Michael Roy Turney, according to a press conference Thursday.Alissa went missing at the end of the school year in 2001 and was first reported as a runaway by Michael Turney, according to officials.Michael called in the runaway report, telling authorities that she had left a note and was going to California.In 2008, new information was brought to light and officials began a criminal investigation into Alissa's disappearance. Officials conducted 200 interviews with coworkers, friends, and family.When a search warrant was issued on Michael's residence, they discovered a bombing plot, at which point he was brought into custody in 2008.Officials say Michael took a plea deal and served 10 years in prison in the bombing plot, unrelated to Alissa's disappearance.He was arrested Thursday afternoon by police in Mesa in connection to her presumed death. Over the course of three months, a robber decided to test his luck not once but three times at the M Resort in Las Vegas.On Aug. 24, Gregory Bolusan reportedly entered the M Resort at 3:54 a.m. with a handgun and a backpack. He demanded that the cage employee hand over all of their money but was unsuccessful due to the employee fleeing the cage.Bolusan returned to the M Resort on Sept. 10 at 5:33 a.m. with the intentions robbing the casino cage again. This time he made away with ,589. Investigators were able to identify him because he wore the same clothing, drove the same vehicle and used a similar gun and backpack.In his final attempt, Bolusan returned to the M Resort on Oct. 28 and was able to use the same game plan to make away with ,480 – or so he thought.Bolusan was wearing different clothes during this robbery attempt but was driving the exact same vehicle, parked in the exact same spot, and entered the exact same doors as before. This led to M Resort security members apprehending Bolusan before he could get away with the cash.During the arrest, it was determined that he was driving a white 2010 Toyota Camry and that his gun was not real.Bolusan was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on several counts of attempted robbery, burglary. 1286

PALA MESA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A Temecula woman who stopped to help victims of a deadly bus crash in Pala Mesa on the I-15 freeway is hoping to connect with the family of the woman she comforted until she passed. Jacqueline Hernandez says she never thought twice about stopping to help the victims of the bus crash. She says it was pouring rain, but when she noticed what happened, she pulled over to ask how she could help. Hernandez says she joined other Good Samaritans that had pulled over to help. She says, she arrived just moments after the crash. The charter bus traveling from El Monte to Tijuana on the southbound 15 when it crashed. Three women were killed, 18 people were sent to local hospitals. Hernandez tells 10News she noticed a woman ejected from the bus and says two men started alternating CPR. She says she tried to keep the woman alert, speaking to her in Spanish and holding her face. Eventually paramedics told Hernandez the woman no longer had a pulse. While Hernandez tried to help the woman, her two children passed out blankets to the other victims that were injured.Hernandez wants the woman's family to know their loved one was not alone in her final moments. The California Highway Patrol is now helping Hernandez arrange a meeting with the woman's family. Hernandez is hoping to help them financially with funeral costs. The three victims were identified as ,23-year-old Cinthya Karely Rodriguez Banda, Maria De La Luz Diaz, 67 of Riverside, and Julia Perez Cornejo, 73. 1508
